i’ve seen reviews that made me skeptical of getting this regarding it getting wet and not working. mine got wet during a move and sure enough stopped working, **BUT** i took out the battery, wiped it off, and left the thermometer in the sun to dry, and it’s good as new and still as accurate as before. i just bought a second one for the cold side of my ball pythons tank. she loves climbing on them and just hanging out and vibing and i love that i can keep an accurate track of her humidity/heat levels. definitely recommend !!! they can be a little hard to read in certain lighting but you can fix that by putting a piece of white tape behind it if it bothers you that much :)

So I didn't see anything about this in other reviews. Sometimes this will change to Celsius reading. There is no external button on this device to switch it back. If you simply remove and reinsert the small battery it will default back to Farenheit, just FYI.The device itself is functional but not amazing. Gets the job done basically. Hard to read unless you are looking directly at it but the suction is passable on the cup and the reading is pretty accurate. ~85-90% accurate I would say based on comparing to another temp gauge.

Love this little thing! I can move it anywhere in my iguanas terrarium @ any time. U can set it up in 2 different positions (see pics). The digits r easy to read and it’s super accurate. I’ve only had it not work 2x but I’m sure that dropping it in the drinking water didn’t help much. All I did was took the battery out for a while & it worked perfectly again. It’s way more cost effective than the ones that u stick on the side w/a sticky back. Once u take those off u can’t put them back on. The sticky back is a pain to get off the glass as well. If u want a clean, easy, effective way to monitor the heat & humidity of a terrarium this it the best option!! Only thing I would change is making it 100% water proof!

Suction cup won’t hold it, stays on for a couple minutes then falls off. Cleaned the glass and suction cup but still doesn’t hold

Should have returned them but I usually do not return stuff. You can't read them! The concept is great, like the way you can change the way it sits in Terrarium but can not see it. It is CLEAR with black markings

Leopard gecko is good

My thermometer works, but the display is broken. While you can still read it if you really try, it's hard to tell. Sometimes a number will disappear all together, and other times the number will be partially missing. It's a really odd error in my thermometer.Edit: It turns out, the battery on my sysytem was just running low on juice. The unit came with one extra battery, and was quite easy to change out. It looks like I should have used my common sense before jumping to conclusions. Whoops!
