Why is the insole sold separately? Do I need it? Shouldn't the shoe be comfortable on its own?

I personally don't believe it's comfortable with an insole. This is a hard rubber shoe and makes your feet sweat a little therefore an insole is greatly needed. Lastly, as to why it's sold separately you would have to ask the company.

I’m a 3rd year Med student, terribly flat feet. My ankles pronate toward my midline. Would these be good for support or not so much?

There is some arch support and are made of a rubber material for easy cleaning and shock absorbtion. I’m a nurse who works 12hrs shift and on my feet a lot. I rotate shifts between these and my danskos.

Are these as wide as crocs? I find crocs flop around on the foot because they are so much wider than a woman's shoe--are these a woman's width?

Crocs run very wide. Calzuro is narrow. I have an 10-A width foot.
