FastCap PSSR-16 16 Foot Pro Carpenter Standard Reverse Measuring Tape

I use it many dozens of times a day and it works great and it's easy to read the markings. Took me 3 brands to find one I like. Handbrake is great. Be careful extending it past 100%: it likes to lock up and you have to fiddle with it to get it to start spooling again. But it goes back and works great every time.I like the roundness of the shell. Edges of the tape is pretty dull glad they paid attention to that.Tip is a little loosey goosey but not totally cheap. Almost like the rivets need to be set it deeper.Clip for belt/pocket works great and it super easy to use, most other brands screw this up.Making big red/yellow brand look pretty bad rn.

I just got this yesterday, so I don't have much experience with it yet. With that being said, it feels like it is well built. When you pull the tape out, it is smooth and when you activate the lock it holds tightly and when you release it the tape retracts quickly and smoothly. There is also a small tab on the bottom that you can use as a temporary lock. The built in pencil sharpener is a nice feature. I love the fact that I no longer have to read my tape upside down and all the measurements down to 1/16" are clearly marked so no more trying to read the little hash marks on your tape!

What makes this tape really good and for some reason nobody else copy them is the fact that they add all fractions on the table, and on both sides! You have all details from 2/16 to 15/16, which makes your life in the US so much easier when measuring this crazy American fractional system haha! It becomes so easy to use! Honestly this tape made me learn fractions in such way that today I'm more comfortable with fractions than with millimeter. The white tape color is unique, also rarely see that around. Size is compact and tape is protected with a layer of robber, which makes it drop resistant. The accuracy is pristine, as mentioned above, you are not doing math to know where is 5/8, or 13/16. for the price is the number of benefits, totally recommended! There is one negative aspect of this 16' version here: The body length of the 25' model is 3" long, confirmed, but the body length of the 16' is actually 2 3/4", but it's written 3 feet on it, small flaw.

I wanted a combination metric standard tape measure this fits that want. The only thing is that I did not realize this was a flexible tape and will not stay straight when extended. But it works well for measuring curved surfaces.

love this tape measure, we are not carpenters but we do the occasional diy and this tape measure allows for precise measurement without having to count tiny lines and trying to do fractions (admittedly my weakness). if i ask my wife for a measurement she also has no problem telling me exactly what the measurement is, so no more second guessing and hoping lol. i still suggest measuring twice cut once.

Easy for these old eyes. Compact to have such big numbers

The belt clips on these are great!When I HAVE to use a Foot& Inch fractional tape measure..Ye olde; 16ths, 1/4s, 1/8ths... and so on..Very well marked and clear! Where's 7/8ths .. or 5/16ths? ~ Oh, right there! I see it! ..No mistakes; counting tiny lines, since I've needed more powerful glasses! -OR- Someone who never learned and can't sight tape measure, just by the unmarked graduations. They made this EASY!
