Can these filters be used in other systems like propur, or Alexapur?

I would think that any of those gravity filters would fit the length may be the only problem

These filters last a long long time. Every month or so, i will clean the outside of the filter. Good as new.

what is the filter's exact diameter? 2 inches or 2 3/4 inches? 4.5 inches is not realistic

The ceramic portion is actually close to 1 3/4 inches and the black plastic portion is just about 2 inches. hope this helps!
