Q: Can this handle a 10440 cell?

Officially, no. Unofficially, use at your own risk. Many people have used a 10440 cell and has not damaged their light. Others reported it worked fine initially but then would no longer work with an alkaline or nimh. I briefly tried a 10440 when I got my tool aaa just to see if it worked and it did but went back to an eneloop for longer run times.

Q: What's the difference between black lens and black reflector in the colors?

I don't understand the question. How is black involved? The reflector is silver, the lens is clear. The lens in this latest model has a bunch of tiny bubbles, or mini lenses, molded into the plastic. The beam is more even that that of earlier models. I thought my earlier ones were perfect. This newer one is more perfect.

Q: Can a protected 10440 cell (slightly longer than AAA) be used?
