Durable!
Our aggressive chewer hasn't torn the ball yet, and there are no chunks missing -- we've had it for over a week (which is rare for any toy in our household to make it this far)! He loves to play with it. It is a heavier ball, which is the only complaint -- we live in an apartment so when he drops it, I know our downstairs neighbors can probably hear it... Overall, we're really happy with it and would buy it again so he has a second ball!

He can't destroy this one!
We adopted a dog a week ago. Within two days every single chew toy we'd gotten for him was dead. Squeaky ball, tennis ball, "indestructible" balls and toys, they were all gone. I read reviews about other indestructible balls, and several reviewers said the Goughnut Black 50 was the way to go. So, for our maniacal fetch and chew loving pup, we got one of these.Holy smokes. A week later it not only still exists, but it looks GREAT! He can't make a mark on it. And this thing has been used for hours of fetch and chewing. He wants to play fetch, this is the ball we go for. He wants to chew on one, this is it.Update: Six months later. I've now bought four of these, according to Amazon. Why? Because they're awesome. One is at our cabin. Because heaven forbid the dog is without a ball. More accurately, for our sanity, the dog is never without a ball. Two are here at our house. One more is en route from Amazon. Because, one of the ones we have actually got chewed into. It's usable, it's still a solid ball, and I'm not sure he could rip it much more, but I also don't know that it'd bounce like I want it to. So I got another and this one will be relegated to back up. This one ball is the only one to actually show a mark of any of the Goughnut products we have (three balls, two figure 8 tug of war toys, and one stick). The rest all look brand new. Maybe the ball had a bad day during production. I don't know. Considering my dog can chip through actual bones, these hold up remarkably well. Astonishingly well. I don't know if I'll buy another brand for my exceptionally aggressive chewer.

Great durable ball!
Very durable but beware this ball has heft. I would recommend outside use if you are playing fetch with your furry friend. Outside of that, it's everything it's described as. Good size, will not smell over time, and I would say safe as this won't be easily chewed through by most dogs.I own 2 Border Collies and they are still pups.

It lasted longer than I thought it would
I wanted to wait a little while before writing a review. My year old pittie mix tends to destroy "power chewer" toys relatively easily. Depending on the material and brand, new chews will last between 45-90 minutes to a few hours. This ball made it almost three days. He didn't chew much out of it, but after paying for a surgery to have something removed from his gut that isn't supposed to be there, we are (probably overly) hypersensitive about what he eats and the toys he plays with. If the ball didn't have these ridges, I'm willing to bet it would have made it as far as the stick and ring version of this product have.On a separate note, the ring toy and stick toy have been SHOCKINGLY durable. They've made it WEEKS at this point. We were so pleased with these products that we bought the tug, too. I hope that this company keeps making new products as actually indestructible as the ring and stick toy have been. I hope they improve on the design of the ball (and make it /not/ a choking hazard) so that he can have one of them too!I can't recommend these goughnuts products enough to my friends with power chewers.

Have an aggressive chewer who typically shreds other balls? This product is for you
The media could not be loaded. We cannot buy anything for our Doberman. He loves balls, but destroys them within an hour. This ball is the only one that withstands his constant gnawing and biting. It is relatively heavy but you can still play fetch easily. It is a bit heavy when throwing so it makes a loud noise when it hits the ground and you probably should not let your dog play with it inside or near delicate objects. It is durable and not soft. It does not smell much. I did expect the ball to be slightly bigger and was confused when I took it out of the package, but do not be deterred by size! Not to mention my dog LOVES it and takes it with him everywhere he goes. Great value and I highly recommend this product, especially for aggressive chewers.

Holds up to chewing
This is a heavy, bouncy, rubber ball. My dog is medium in size, about 70 pounds, and has pulled the covers off the Kong tennis balls I have previously bought her. This one has been durable so far. I got the yellow one. Brighter color options would make it easier finding it outside. Fits in my dog’s mouth, unlike another one I have which is a bit bigger. I think the grooves help her grip the ball better. Heavy weight makes it easy to throw. If she loses it, I would probably get another one.
