It's either the Lids these days are tightened firmer or I'm getting older, this Lid Opener by Swing A Away is another well built and simple to operate device. The grip portion is heftier than other makes and it made it easier to operate.Slide adjustable Size capability also makes it easy to open lids from small to very large.

This little gripper worked great for me. I like that it's made out of metal as I'm sure that it will last longer than other similar products made of plastic. It doesn't take up much room in my kitchen drawer, which is great. It's easy to use and works on a plethora of size lids. So far, it's awesome.

It is an easy-to-use device that does what it is supposed to do - it gets the jar open.I've used it now on 3 different large tall jars that had very tight lids.It works very well to 'break' the tight-vacuum-seal of the lid so that you can then easily turn the lid to open it with the jar-opener or by hand when reopening that jar in the future.The reason I've given it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it seems to slightly dent the lid so that the lid fits a slight bit too loosely from then on so that you have to be careful not to lean the jar too far over at an angle so liquid doesn't seep out when putting jar into & out of the refrigerator & not lift jar from the top by the lid when you take the jar in & out of the fridge.Great simple device that works!

When one reaches a certain age, you stop trying to muscle through life’s little annoyances and reach for a tool. I had a jar of salsa and one of sauerkraut that resisted my attempts at opening them, so I ordered this tool because I like salsa and sauerkraut. Opened both in no time and no arthritis pain in my hands as a result. I especially like the adjustability and leverage it provides. Great purchase!

It works okay. I don't have a strong grip due to arthritis in my hands. You have to hold the handle tight so you can twist a lid off otherwise you have slippage. I can't always do that. Jar lids, who knew they would be problematic when you got older!

If you have arthritis in your hands this is the best can opener that I have ever used I just love it I’ve showed it to a lot of people and they have ordered it themselves and are very happy with it.
