can you pair a boom and mega boom together for stereo?

Not for Stereo. Must be the same speaker to do Stereo. The Boom and Mega can pair up but won't support stereo.

I'm interested in a speaker for my sailboat. I know it's waterproof, but does the speaker float?

Yes Jeff it does float. At only a couple of pounds it won't sink to the bottom if you accidentally drop it in the water, however be careful, it only has a waterproof rating of IPX7, so it will hold up as long as 30 minutes in up to a meter of water. Any deeper or longer and you risk water damage, but a quick accidental drop shouldn't hurt it. It also has a carabiner clip you can use to secure it to something while in the boat.
