I was always sceptical about things like these and have used them before. This time I lit one and put in a cup and when it was done I opened it up to find what looked like wax. I used one in my ear and did the same thing to find it looked exactly the same with no sign anything had passed through the filter. So don't think these thing do anything don't be fooled by the stuff inside when you open it.
