D'Addario Accessories Small Instrument Humidifier

I like that it doesn't leak out water. Remember you must wring it out some, don't fill it totally up, or your instrument may get wet. Good cost, doesn't take up much room. Should last a while in my little nieces violin case. Thanks. Kem. 10/21/24

When I purchased my new violin, my Dampit himidifier wouln't fit in the F-holes, so I needed to find something for the case. This was perfect! The D'Addario Small Instrument Humidifier is the perfect size for my case, and the Velcro included with it keeps it attached inside my case securely. It arrived quickly and does what it is needed to do! I actually recommend it over a Dampit (no risk of damaging your instrument). I highly recommend this humidifier!

Probably the best portable mini humidifier. I would ditch the Velcro 'spots' included in favor of heavier duty Velcro from the hardware store, but otherwise effective, and holds water well - even in the dry climate I live in. Use with a between the strings humidifier, and your protected.

I used this in two electric guitar cases to raise the humidity from around 38% to 50%, as I was noticing sharp fret ends. One case has a semi hollow guitar and the other is solid body. The semi hollow’s case interior is more open and allows the moisture to disperse more easily (but with more volume, it is increasing in humidity at a slower pace) but both are working well. These did not change the climate instantly but they do work, given time and patience. I used this humidifier for electric guitars - which is not what they are advertised for. I liked how gradual these are for that reason, so I don’t overdue it and oxidize the hardware and pickup covers.

The top pops off, ended up taping it closed. I thought about sending it back, but didn't want to go thru the hassle of returning it.

I have a few of these Planet Waves Small Instrument Humidifier. They are a good size for the ukuleles that I use them for. They fit easily into any case. I have some in the headstock area, and some in the body area. I am not sure if location makes any difference (probably not).They are fairly idiot-proof, which I like. I use them in conjunction with Herco clay humidifiers. I soak the glorified-sponge once a week in water for about 10-15 minutes. I live in Arizona so that is probably more frequent than others may.Overall, they're a good product. They're easy and they do what they're supposed to do, which I like. Sure you could make your own version, but the price is not too bad on these.

Bought for my Mandolin case and it seems to be a cool little product.Small and discreet, tucks away nicely, and does not get in the way .A few people say they had problems with getting the sponge back in the case once wet But mine was easy ? , But they may have improved the sponge since Those reviews?.Good value & would buy more .

I purchased four of these humidifiers to place inside my Irish Bodhran cases. Dry air is the nemesis of every bodhran goat skin. I carefully cut black professional grade Velcro to attach to the humidifier case, and to a crossmember of the bodhran. I replenish the sponge once a week with great results in maintaining the basic pitch of each bodhran! Would HIGHLY recommend these to other bodhran users to maintain that “out-of-the-box” pitch we all so hope for! Highly recommend!
