It is a dimmer switch for a lamp that I cannot change the wattage. So I can use this dimmer switch to lower the illumination of this bulb to very bright or dim or whatever brightness I need. It works awesome and the price is $14, very inexpensive.

A lamp dimmer these days is certainly not revolutionary.With a multitude of poorly made products on the market, it’s still refreshing to find a quality product, and this dimmer fits that category.It works smoothly with my dimmable LED lights and conveniently has the AC plug and light socket together so the dimmer body can be in a convenient spot without having to route the lamp cord too.The price is reasonable so if I need another I would not hesitate to buy the same one.

These dimmers are awesome! I purchased them for my snakes chi lights so I can control the temperature and they work prefect!

Works great. I'm only giving 4-stars because off my personal experience. I bought these to control a 50' LED edison bulb type string... the kind all over amazon. It does dim them but the entire 0% to 100% dimming process happens within the first 1/4 of the slider, and the remaining 3/4 of the slider remains on at 100%. So during that small 1/4 of the slider adjustment, it's difficult to nail a value, and in my case, really just gives me about 4-5 value options because the difference jumps so much in such a short slide.... BUT IT WORKS.

durability seems ok and it's bright enough, large enough, easy enough and the proper color match for me.

This is great for easily dimming a lamp that does not have a 3-way switch. It also is a safer way to turn on/off tall slender lamps that mght tip and break. Very convenient. Good purchase for me.

I really liked this as an extension for a lamp that was hard to reach and even harder when I had shoulder surgery. Unfortunately, it only lasted 5 months and quit working. I bought one for a spare bedroom, but that one doesn’t get daily use so it’s ok. I loved it and miss it, but don’t know if I’ll replace it. It should last longer.
