Got this as a birthday gift, and it was perfect! The hinges are nice and so is the lining inside the box. Really solid little box, much better than I hoped coming from Amazon!Now holds a lot of random trinkets and rocks and things, very well loved! Will most likely last a long time, if you want it, it's definitely worth the price! The carving design is well done, and very pretty as well <3

I lived in Egypt, where the workmanship on wooden items was exquisite, and though this piece is not from Egypt, the workmanship is just as exquisite. The finished item is smooth to touch. The design is beautiful and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from this. Company again.

The media could not be loaded. It’s a cute little box that inspired me to make a custom music box. Turned out great for my first prototype. The carvings on the box are great. Seems pretty sturdy and has good weight to it. I added the latch as a cosmetic measure and to secure it better. My only complaint is that the stain was over applied, rubs off on stuff for a bit, and it smells pretty strong. Be prepared to wipe it down with some dirty rags or paper towels for a bit when you get it.

Love this box it is really pretty and worth the money which was not pricey.

First, this box is BIG. I was thinking it was going to be small, like a ring jewelry box, but it's actually fairly sizable for what I was expecting. Maybe I should have read the dimensions lol. This is 100% ok.Second, quality is solid. It seems almost like a hand-carved curio/souvenir type item you might find when traveling. So, I really liked that.Third, and I won't dock points for this because it was fine... but it does have a smell when I opened it, like the smell of some kind of finish coat or stain... I just let it air out for an hour and it was fine, but just be aware of that when buying it last minute, the smell is probably not really a dealbreaker, but just be aware of that.

The media could not be loaded. The box is beautifully carved, and seems sturdy. We're using it as a gift box for a necklace.However be warned that it came smelling like shoe polish, so I looked closer and realized most of the wax stain had not been removed or buffed. The box is photographed after I wiped it down (paper towels in photos) and it was quiet a lot of stain. Looks good after a buffing, but be warned it'll stink and stain your hands unless you take the excess off.Also the lid doesn't quiet shut all the way, and it looks like the hinge nails are loose and the culprit.Overall not terribly disappointed given that it shipped super fast and wasn't very expensive. It'll serve it's purpose as a gift box, but I'm going to try to fix it up first.

Clearly hand carved, some tiny portions of the pattern are not carved out, and some tiny portions are carved too deep. You can only tell from staring closely. It just adds character to a box that I'm using for Dungeons and Dragons rewards. Closes and seals tightly with just wood-on-wood. Lovely red velvet interior lining.
