🎶 Elevate Your Tone with Precision!
The Bourns Guitar & Amp Potentiometer features a 500K audio taper, designed for low friction rotation and a coarse knurl 18-tooth shaft, making it an essential component for guitar enthusiasts looking to enhance their sound. With a 3/8" bushing height, it fits perfectly into various setups, though it's not compatible with US-spec knobs or import guitars with metric components.

The missing piece
My brother wanted to get into playing guitar so I found one for him that was in pretty good shape, but needed a little TLC. The biggest problem was the volume pot on the guitar just spun and spun. I pulled it out and went to Amazon and found the Bourns 500K Guitar & Amp Potentiometer. It was a perfect fit, cost next to nothing and now my brother has a fully functioning guitar that he can learn on -- without having to borrow one of mine! Highly recommended.

super smooth action
These are GREAT pots. I build and modify my own guitars, have a lot of experience with different potentiometers from various manufactures and the Bourns pots are the best I have ever used for the price. There are some higher end pots but very expensive and not cost effective considering law of diminishing returns. These feature a super smooth action, perfect for volume swells and pinkie control when playing. If you are looking for the best pots for your build or refurb, this is it. Go. Buy. Now.

Adequate; better than most, not as good as a 1st-line CTS pot
Quite adequate, values are accurate. The shafts are a bit taller than, say, CTS pots, so you may need an additional washer underneath to shim & get your knobs riding on the pickguard the way you had them. Also, the lugs (in terms of structural integrity to the pot) are not as robust as a CTS pot.

The Best EVER
I have paid $12 for DiMarzio and ProLine pots over the past 15 years in my guitar and this beats them hands down.Lower friction = smoother turning. It is so smooth with a flick of the little finger it goes from full volume to off instantly. It also has the perfect profile. Most of the voltage reduction happens in the first 20% of the turn; that combined with the very low friction means that small adjustments take less time to make, making it easier to play live. I've read the Bourns data page and they claim a life-cycle of 200,000 full deflections, which is about 20 years of playing for me. This potentiometer reinvigorated my playing. Not often you can say something like that.

Pro Electronics
Buying these to support the little people instead of the big names. They're just as great and inexpensive for some who are on a budget. Super smooth turning and great for volume swelling. The only thing about upgrading to a quality pot is making you're original pot holes on your guitar a bit larger. So keep that in mind! Already got a pair of these in my Jackson, they sure do get the job done and can carry their own weight to be well respected

Good stuff
Bourns is a high-quality manufacturer, and this pot is a testament to that. Smooth taper, with a great low-friction feel. I will be buying more to retrofit my other guitars!
