Very loud, works great and easy to set up.

I was hesitant about this purchase based off of the reviews. It’s loud AF!! You don’t have to mount it up, it’s portable as well. The set up was very easy and I might double down and get another one.

The product worked as expected. It was loud enough, easy enough to use once I read the instructions, seems like it will ward off intruders or be a good "New Customer!" alert. The problem that caused me to take away one star is that my hands were allergic to some residue covering it and they were slightly burning, so I washed it with a soapy paper towel and rinsed and dried it the same way and whatever it was that was irritating my hands seemed to be gone. The other problem I had was that I smelled a strong odor of burnt electronics, or a leaking capacitor as soon as I opened the package, so I think this thing will be unreliable in the long run. I opened the casing and did find a capacitor covered in some hardened, brown stuff, which could have been glue, but I've never heard of gluing in a capacitor, so it may have been that it leaks all over the board. If this thing fails I will replace that one capacitor and all will be well, but only time will tell.

It’s great purchase for what I need it for, it has very loud alarms which is exactly what I need.

I bought two of these. One works fine. The other eats the batteries in two weeks!!! I switched the two locations and the one still is a problem. I also don't like the single beep when intruder is detected. Person can easily smash the unit before full alarm comes on. It should go directly in to a alarm.

I bought two of these because I have some kids that won't stay out of areas they are not supposed to be in. I tested them when they arrived and they worked as advertised. I put the alarms where kids weren't supposed to be and waited. Nothing. I reread the directions. Since the detectors take 45 seconds of motion to go off I figured the kids picked them up and turn them around in under 45 seconds. So I hid them in a new location and tried again. Nothing. I figured I had them too obstructed to detect motion so I relocated them. Nothing. Finally, I'm looking at both of them now and silence. Both detectors have stopped making any noise. They're broke. Good thing it wasn't someone coming to kill me because I'd be dead and you wouldn't be able to read this review not to buy this garbage.

UPDATE : To whom it may concern....I bought this unit in 2015 as a security feature for an outdoor medical cannabis garden. I was thinking twice when I saw the low price of this unit but 2 years, and 3 crops later this is STILL my "go to" for security in the garden. It'll wake me out of a dead sleep inside my house 100ft away and is very sensitive. I am woken by the raccoons foraging in the berry patch regularly but better safe than sorry right ? You can use them outdoors as long as you build little "birdhouses" for them, but the point is they can save you BIG bucks, and are obviously worth the price if I can get through 3 crops with it ! GREAT little unit !!! Going to buy more myself !UPDATE 2018 ; This little bugger just keeps working ! Best 20 bucks I ever spent. It's been through just about everything but just keeps going, and going, and going......LOVE IT !
