The Art of Heikala: Works and thoughts Hardcover – March 19, 2018

Beautiful art book, one of my favorite artists! I haven’t looked through it al but the cover by itself feels really premium and a lot of care has been out into crafting the art book. This is my very first art book and it does not disappoint. Must buy for storytelling, watercolor artists.

What a thorough and interesting read. Filled with wonderful art and so many thoughts and processes. Heikala does a great job of balancing the technical, the inspirational, and the beautiful in this book.

Heikala is one of todays most gifted artists - she combines such a warm, comfortable feel to all of her work that looks so natural and pure. She brings out the best of what beauty can be placed upon a canvas. She will be admired and emulated by many for generations to come. Her beautiful soul shines through to us all. Thank you Heikala, for sharing your beautiful gift and persevering each day to bring it to us all.

I have seen Heikala's works floating around before I finally followed her. I wish I was there during the Kickstarter. Well, fate brought me where I am today with a copy of her book straight from Amazon.This book was worth every penny, and Heikala's way of explaining her journey had a very authentic and humble touch. She is a perfect example of how encouragement and a great foundation (quality education, supportive peers, teachers, and family, and a stable country) provide opportunities in a creative career.Her creative process was explained thoroughly and to the point. I learned a lot!I applaud her for all her hard work! Thank you! :)

Literally came in a big box with 2 of these air pockets things that exploded and all the corners are damaged.As a collector I'm really disappointed because of this but the book itself is so beautiful, I have wanted it since the first kickstarter and im so happy to finally have it!!

I absolutely love this book! It's an amazing art book that gives you insight on how Heikala creates and their journey as an artist. I loved how in-depth the book is. You get watercolor tutorials with pictures of every major step. Also included are lists of supplies they use, sketches, how they went ahead and put their art on various merchandise. A peek into digital artwork as well as a guide to making enamel pins. This is one of the best art books I've ever purchased and I'm so happy I did!

The Art of Heikala is an excellent art book for creative insight. Not only does it show case the artist's works, the artist goes into detail about all aspects about their creative process, including tools, ideation, and technique. This is an incredible value, especially for narrative-based illustrators and watercolorists. The book came in beautiful condition, no damages with shipping.
