Good product, fairly ingenious, works well... Still plastic, though... 🤷🏼♀️
One of the few things I've bought in the last few years it was actually worth it and really a fairly decent product. It is plastic, and so there is that inherent deficit, however, it is a bit genius and it has worked well for me with the project I had. It seems to function well coming you just have to be careful because again it is plastic... 🤷🏼♀️🙄🧐

Dryer Dock is as advertised.
Needed a new dryer vent hose and wanted a more secure connection. This fit the bill in every aspect. Easy 10 minute install. 3 drywall screws, a pair of tin snips, and done. Works exactly as advertised. Creates easy access to clean out dryer vent hose. Don't know why I waited so long to get one of these.

Very nice, but installation issue - read review
This unit was what I was looking (actually my wife) but it doesn't work exactly like the picture shows. (not sure what the 6" thing is about since it is just for 4" piping) The issue is attaching the wall part of the fitting to the metal duct pipe which is on the other side of the wall board. Basically the situation is that the metal ducting is between the studs and then the wall board is applied. The wall fitting of this unit pushes into the metal duct and then screws to the wall board as shown. The problem is how do you push the wall fitting into the duct pipe since if you push on the metal duct it will likely recede into the stud space since it would not be possible to secure the duct to the back of the wall board. My solution was to place some wood in back on the duct elbow so it could not recede and then carefully set the elbow such that it extended 1/2 inch or so beyond the plane of the studs, sort of like an electrical box. In this manner, I could then fit the wall portion of the fitting into the duct elbow without it moving since it does fit tightly (which is what you want). If you do all this, then it will look just the picture and it's great. Sounds more complicated than it is but you will really regret it if you do not do as I say. They really should have three parts, the third being a fitting that attaches to the end of the duct elbow and screws to the stud face (again like an electric box). Having said all this, I am an engineer who thinks like this and tries to improve everything by making it more complicated... (note there are some docks that combine all this into one unit but I like the way the dryer tube attaches to the wall unit portion. Looks very nice once installed)

It works!
I needed a better lint trap for our dryer. I watched several videos online about how to make one. Various gadgets were used to attach the dryer hose, but the guy that used this two-piece hose connector caught my attention. I already had the bucket. This item was not easy to find locally, and when I did the cost was more than I afford. With an hour left of CyberMonday, I took a chance and found it on Amazon for less than $8! Used the money on my gift card balance, for $0 out of pocket costs. It arrived 2 days later. I am by no means mechanical, nor do I like to fix things; but this two-piece hose connector was easy to use. Just twist apart, cut a hole in bucket lid, affix the bottom half with 3 screws. Twist and lock the top half. Then secure the the dryer hose over the top end, and Voila! It worked like a charm as well as the contraption itself, and has exceeded my expectations. Wish I made this years ago instead of paying $25 for one. So if any of you out there are thinking about making similar contraption for your dryer, Go for it, and use this two-piece dryer hose quick connect. Thanks for reading.

Working Well So Far
Easy to install, for the most part. Had to cut a slit into the pipe that runs through the wall because the tabbed section of this connector was just a hair too big, which worked fine. The fit is very snug and secure. Will definitely make cleaning the vent pipe much easier.

Product Review: Two-Piece Dryer Hose Quick-Connect
I recently purchased the Two-Piece Dryer Hose Quick-Connect with the hope of simplifying my dryer setup. The concept seemed straightforward: a quick-connect system that would make attaching and detaching the dryer hose much easier. The product image in the preview showed the system sitting flush against the wall, which looked like a perfect solution to save space and improve airflow. However, upon installation, I quickly realized that the product doesn't quite work as advertised for most people. The preview image is somewhat misleading, as it shows the product sitting perfectly flat on the wall. In reality, for many setups, the dryer vent is positioned in such a way that the hose will not sit flush unless you also purchase an extension pipe. This extension is necessary to bridge the gap between the dryer and the vent, allowing the quick-connect system to function as shown in the image.Without this extension, the hose remains at an awkward angle, making the installation less secure and potentially impacting the dryer's efficiency. I wish the need for an additional extension pipe was mentioned in the product description, as it adds both cost and complexity to what initially appeared to be a simple solution.Overall, while the Two-Piece Dryer Hose Quick-Connect might work well in specific setups, it didn't meet my expectations. Be prepared for the possibility that you'll need to purchase additional parts to achieve the streamlined look shown in the product images.

Good Value
Easy to install. Mine fit so securely that I didn’t need to attach to the wall with screws, but it would be nice if they provided screws in case I did. Although plastic, it’s a good value at around ten bucks. Magnetic alternatives are around $75.
