VERY IMPRESSED. CUT THROUGH REALLY FAST.
Works really well. Attached it to my extension pole and took down lots of very high thick branches with it. Not sure my saws-all could have done it any quicker.

Multiple ways to attach
This is a 4 star product from a company with 5 star customer service. They also make the excellent BIG-REACH Pole Hook (NEW!), which also screws onto a broom handle.I like the concept of this saw alot, but wish it had more parts made of metal like their Pole Hook does. The engineer in me would have also designed this a little differently here and there, but overall it cuts well for how 95% of people will use it, and they need to make this at a price point that the masses will buy at. With that said, I don't consider this cheaply made or not sturdy (the plastic is hard and seems pretty tough), its just that a deluxe version would have been worth it to me. That would have mostly meant that the part you screw the saw into was made out of metal rather than plastic. I find the metal "female" on the Big Hook to have accepted more acme thread varations and was more usable with a variety of "standard" broom handles (which maddenly have some slight variability even when advertised as "Acme standard" thread).I would have also enjoyed a true "sheath" for backpacking with it, which it appears to have had at one time based on some older reviews. What it comes with now is a thin cardboard sleeve/"sheath".Some of the older reviews also said there were instructions on how to pop out the thread plug so that you could also put a stick into the hollow handle if you were backpacking, etc. Those instructions seem to be gone now, but yes, you can pop out the black thread plug without a lot of effort or causing damage, exposing the hollow handle's insides that you can then put a stick in almost all the way to the saw blade and then screw down. With the plastic providing several inches of stability, it works fairly well. There is screw you need to remove to pop out the thread plug, super easy. The extra blade makes this a good value.

Took a chance
This little blade worked so well. I had a broken bough about 8 inches in diameter, and it was up about 15 feet or so. I have a couple extension poles and this saw fit on both. I taped the handle to the pole to prevent it from spinning loose. That was a little tricky because there is a butt on the handle for gripping, but I was then able to saw off the broken bough with ease. The teeth and shape of this saw was perfect for the task. My husband then used it as a hand saw to quickly cut up this 9 foot in length and full ponderosa pine branch for the trash. Great saw.

GREAT Pole - but saw needs better attachment!!!
The media could not be loaded. The pole itself it GREAT - and the saw attachment is plenty sharp - however for an item described as being "Heavy Duty," the saw handle needs to be attached to the pole MUCH MORE SECURELY! Let me start by saying that the pole/saw I received did not come with any instructions. I opened the box, screwed the saw attachment to the pole and went out to trim some palm fronds. Halfway cutting through the second frond, the "Saw" detached from the pole!?!?! (And got stuck in the tree!) It seems the saw handle is "pressed" onto a gray cap, and the gray cap is what actually screws onto the pole. There is no glue or mechanical connection between the saw handle and the gray cap. After retrieving the saw attachment from the tree, and having it detach from the pole a second time, I inserted a #6 by 3/4" stainless steel "wood screw" through the hole in the bottom of the saw handle and into the gray cap, mechanically attaching the two pieces. In the short-term it's solved the problem of the saw handle detaching from the gray cap but you can see that there are "stress points" on the thin sides of the saw handle which may cause failure in the near future. Maybe there were supposed to be instructions and a screw included with the saw - because it looks like this is the purpose of the hole on the bottom of the saw handle - but neither was included with the pole/saw I received. Unfortunately, now the rivet holding the threaded metal receiver onto the end of the telescoping pole is showing play and becoming loose. (After only sawing a total of six palm fronds at the time of these pictures, video and review posting) So, I'm not sure how long the pole/saw combination is going to hold up??? Worth noting is that while the pole itself seems to be very sturdy and heavy-duty, it of course comes at the expense of additional weight. Once again, the Pole itself is sturdy and high quality!!! I'm just not sure how secure and durable the saw attachment will be in the long-term.

One of the most useful pole attachments
We had some branches that were getting really overgrown against our house. But they were so high up that there was no way we could get to them. I thought we'd have to have a tree company out, until I found this saw attachment.I use this with a Mr. Longarm telescoping pole and it works really well. The blade is sharp and cuts through branches like butter. I was able to completely clean up our tall overgrown branches with this thing, and in a very short time. It took longer to clean up the cut-off branches than it did to saw through them. It was easier to use than I expected, perhaps due to the sharpness of the blade. To be fair, the branches I was cutting were mostly around an inch or so thick, so nothing particularly large.I also find this saw to be useful even without the pole. It cuts better than anything else I have, so I also use it on branches that I don't need a pole for.I'd like it if the whole thing was metal rather than just the blade. Despite the plastic, so far it seems to be quite sturdy and I've not had any signs of weakness from it. I'm really glad to have found this pole saw attachment.
