While in process of dealing with the bug issue this product actual provided new home to the bugs. There is a velcro cover over the zipper. After spending a ton of money and time to get rid of the issue in the rest of the home there was new outbreaks cause of this product. They retreated into the velcro and rebirthed a new plague of drama. This only works as a good cover to your bed if you got someone that wets the bed or just want to protect the mattress more. Bug free is false advertising. I now have to live with the bug problem till I can save up money again. By the way all those looking for an instant kill solution use windex the brand or generic stuff. You see those little biting a-holes spray them with it and in seconds whatever gets hit dies :). Windex is the only thing helping me to keep these buggers at bay at this point. Hasnt been a perfect cure but only thing I can do right now that somewhat works. I want a refund for the several units of this product I bought but I cant seem to get my money back.

Fresh out of the package, I went to unzip the cover and at the end of the zipper, the metal piece just slipped right off. Upon looking closer, the stitching on that end of the zipper was totally undone and falling apart. Obviously not bug proof in that case. Returning the item.

I have little kids that occasionally wet their beds. They also still like to sleep with me at night. Last night, my daughter’s pull up flooded all over my bed. Everything was wet- sheets, blankets, even a pillow. You know what wasn’t wet? My mattress. This waterproof cover is the super bestest waterproof cover I’ve ever bought. There was SO MUCH pee in my bed, it would have destroyed my mattress if I didn’t have this cover on it. I’m buying a second one now because I didn’t think ahead about having a backup while the other one is in the wash. Buy this product!Update 11/20/18- there have been soooo many incidents in our bed with our kids having accidents that I’m seriously grateful to have this amazing mattress protector. I did buy a second and both kids twin mattresses have two each. You really need this!

This item was bought because of it's supposed waterproof properties to protect a new mattress. This product is NOT waterproof. After discovering that there was a urine accident, it was cleaned up and dried. After removing the mattress cover, the brand new mattress is ruined because the urine soaked through the 'waterproof' cover. Not only are we out the cost of the protector, but the money spent on the new mattress is wasted due to never being able to remove the urine smell and having to trash the mattress.Poor product and does not perform as advertised.

Deep vacuumed the carpet. Dusted headboard, nightstand and dresser. Vacuumed the air registers and blinds. Still congested and blowing my nose all night and having horrible sleep. Causing increased snoring and tiredness during the day. Saw this while browsing Amazon. Gave it a try because of the low price. BOOM. It was my mattress all along. Not even a sniffle and no tissues in the floor from blowing my nose through three night. Kind of gross thinking it was the mattress. Had something like this years ago, but it didn’t work well and was noisy. I can’t tell this is even on. This will change my life. Thanks for the quick delivery and great value.Update. 1/27/18. Started sniffing and getting congested again. Just bought a new one. Much cheaper than a new mattress. Lasted a little under a year. Well worth $20.

My children brought lice home from school. So we had to cover everything to keep them safe. These definitely did the job. They are easy to put on and without question helped us put a quick end to the lice. BUT, they're HUGE! They were way too big for all our mattresses, even my daughter's 14" pillow top. The excess material makes sheets look strange and not fit right, and they trap air which needs to be released in order to prevent a "balloon" effect. They also tend to make the mattress hot, they're loud and they're uncomfortable to sleep on.

The cover appears to do what it claims and I love that it offers full coverage! Zippers are sturdy and it was easy to get over my mattress. I haven't had any spills, so I can't attest to its waterproof ability, but the material sure seems like it could stand up against sweat, water, and other fluids/spills. When shifting around, there's a bit of a rustling noise because of the material used, but it's not annoying by any means (IMO).My only gripe is that the slick material causes my sheets to shift out of place after a night's sleep. It would be nice if the mattress protector had a bit of texture so that it gripped the sheet, rather than slid over it.Also, it's made for up to a 16" mattress, so if yours is smaller than that you will have bunching and ripples. I have a queen-sized, 12" Zinus and the protector is frequently bunched in the morning and there are always ripples underneath my sheet, no matter how tightly they're tucked. Not a big deal, but who likes tucking a fitted sheet under the mattress again... and again...annnnd again? A textured top might help with that, but maybe I should've just gotten a smaller-sized brand.I'll keep using this for now, but I'll probably purchase something that doesn't slip as much down the line.

Great it you have a mattress that is at least 12-16 inch thick. mine was 10 inch and it was way too big

If you’re looking for a mattress encasement for BED BUGS, this is the one. I had a minor infestation at my house, never saw a bug in my bed or much other evidence other than the countless bites I would wake up with after each night. If you have bed bugs I know how stressful and horrible it is to have to go through and try to manage. I bought 2 of these encasements for my double (Full) bed. One for my mattress and one for my box spring. Since I put these on my bed, I have not been bitten. It’s been about a month now with no signs of bed bugs. So durable and strong material with a zipper and Velcro as well. Highly recommend for bed bugs.

This product was too big for my queen size (8 inches tall) mattress. I am returning it.The product seems strong, however, and of good quality. It is a great product for taller mattresses than mine.

I bought this because I recently discovered I have an allergy to dust mites. Two things I want to say about this purchase:1. It's surprisingly easy to install - it slides right in if you follow the directions it comes with, and fits like a glove. That said, it is a two-person job.2. An unforeseen side effect since using this encasement is that my partner and I both sleep better and deeper. It adds a sheen and freshness to my bedding that makes it extra comfy.

Be sure to press out any air before sealing the bag completely (you can just roll around a bit).It is a fairly large size case which should fit most mattresses. I could actually fit my entire mattress and box inside (but strongly advise against this).It's depth does make it very lose on shorter mattresses (8"-10"), though it is easy enough to tuck the excess under the mattress and a fitted bed sheet will hold everything in place.The material is fairly breathable on the surface unlike some similarly priced or cheaper mattress covers. I am happy to say that after a week of use I have broken a sweat.Fits loose on shorter mattresses but it is easy enough to tuck the excess under the mattress itself and a fitted bed-sheet will hold everything in place.Overall, whether you are trying to protect a mattress from drunk friends or need a barrier to repel bugs and mites, I would recommend this as a great cover for the price.

I first bought this because my son had bedbugs in his apartment, and this worked perfectly - sealed in the bedbugs that were in the mattress, and prevented other bedbugs to get in, he stopped getting bitten immediately. The only downside of this cover, and I can't see how it can be prevented, is that it is airtight, so doesn't breathe, so you sweat a lot. Will research that one, perhaps a foam on top of the mattress would do it...Then I bought a cottage, and didn't want to leave the mattresses in the open when I am not there, because of all the possible critters, mice and others, who could walk all over my mattress, so bought two more of these covers for my cottage mattresses - when I go back I inspect them, they are white so easy to see if there was anything that went on the bed, and they are sealed so unless they make a hole in it I know it is sealed tight, so when I remove the cover I know I can sleep in peace! I also use one to put over the 4 inch memory foam I use on the sofa bed, to protect it when it is not on the bed. Couldn't find a bag big enough and couldn't fold it small enough by myself to fit in a box, so this is perfect. I leave it on the bed at the cottage when I am away.

Coming from a better but more expensive bed bug protector, I would say that this is good especially considering the price. It was easy enough to put to my bed and found a little bit bigger. I have used it for a week now and I find it comfortable and had a lot of really good night sleep. I don't really slide to it and doesn't have the plastic sound so overall I like it.

So far so good (3 weeks) It fits perfectly in our queen mattress. Just a little bit lose but otherwise it would not be easy to put it on. We don't feel it at all. It is neither cold nor hot. I did a test pouring half glass of water on it and the liquid didn't pass the protector. Also our 2 years old sleep with us and it's been the perfect protection for night accidents.

I am Rating 5* all-around because it had overly passed my expectations. I felt like I was getting a high end product as presentation was very presentable when it had first arived as it was very well professionally packaged which was also vacuum sealed and there were ribbons on the outside so it felt like a gift to myself.I already fell in love with the product just right after opening it because I am getting a premium product which is very well made and the function is excellent also it is the most comfortable bedding I ever had. I had purchased 6 items together from Utopia bedding which cake in 2 shipments for under $200 so I now have the Navy queen sheet set / Navy comforter with 3D print / zippered queen mattress protector / zippered pillow protectors / pack of 2 blue pillows / Navy Queen fleece blanket.I made my decision to purchase the brand I products because of the numerous positive reviews / price and quality of the items.highly recommended definitely will buy from Utopia bedding again soon.

This is thick, looks quality on the top material, but it smells strongly of the kind of vinyl smell you smell from those cheap blow-up water rafts. There's no way that I could sleep with this on our bed. The smell was too strong. I waited a couple days to see if it would come out before I put it on the bed, but it didn't. The top layer material is great, the zipper is good, but the smell is terrible, and laying on it makes you very very very hot. I'm sure it would be very waterproof, but that is probably because of the plastic layer inside the encasement.

Order arrived earlier than stated, it was very quick! The product seems like it is great quality, and was very easy to put on the mattress. I was able to slide the cover on the queen size mattress myself, and it actually had more room available for a thicker mattress with a thick pillow-top. The zipper has a Velcro closure overtop, and seals the zipper in place. I am very happy with this product so far, and would definitely buy again!

Low review because it arrived stained And dirty! Super gross. Other then that disgusting fact the product seemed fine.

Bought this to replace an old mattress protector that constantly slipped off. I like that this one has full encasement so that will not be an issue. Other reviews mentioned it being too large, noisy and smelling of plastic but I do not have any of those issues with this product. It fits my mattress perfectly and I hope to have it last a long time. The price is great and the material feels high quality, and it is completely waterproof! That’s saved us a couple times already.

This product is useless and false advertisement. It is not bedbug proof. The material is incredibly thin and the small bugs can walk right through it. It is also not waterproof. USELESS and a waste of money.

Very happy with this purchase. Purchased this item as a preventative measure as I work in a field that exposes me more to individuals who may carry bedbugs on their person or live in environments that may expose them more to this issue. Don't forget, anyone can pick up bedbugs - simply riding public transportation in any city will expose you to these critters. Premium zippered encasements are stretchable, great zipper and proper tag cover to close the end of the zipper. I have utilized other encasements and can assure you this one is of good value for your money. I can't speak about the waterproofness of the item as I don't eat in bed and thankfully I don't have any issues with incontinence so I cannot speak about this point. Although you shouldn't wash these covers as they can sometimes rip, I feel the material is strong enough to do so. Again, I have not tried washing this item.

WARNING: This is not a breathable material. It will make you feel hot and sweaty and you will not be getting a good night sleep. I bough one for me and one for my daughter and regret it. We both get hot and sweaty and it’s very uncomfortable. Waste of money!
