A good looking, versatile chaise-foot-rest-guest-bed at a bargain price. Comfortable, affordable w/durable fabric. A+
We've combined this chaise with a futon sofa from the same company (only it's in the white vinyl option). The white futon features two adjustable backs that we can set separately from each other, or lay flat. The gray one is upholstered in a soft, but durable cloth that's (so far) not shown dirt and has held up well as we use it not only to put our feet up, but also to hold backpacks and other items. These futons are designed to attach together with velcro straps that are found under each piece. With the two pieces configured as you can see in the photo, the gray futon/chaise can be adjusted up so we can also use it for seating when we want to look outside to our patio (as when it's flat, we use it to convert the white futon into a double-chaise.We positioned this gray single-chaise-futon at the bottom of the white futon sofa with split-adjustable backs and doing so turns the whole thing into a very comfortable double or triple chaise-seating arrangement for our living room/TV center (that when laid flat, offers sleeping surfaces for two guests).Set up was very easy, but as other reviews noted, you should read the instructions in order to discover the hidden compartment in the base that holds some of the parts needed for assembly. In our case, assembly of both this and the white futon could not have been easier. We are in an apartment with a type of vinyl flooring and while the legs do have a protective rubber cap at the base, we were concerned about it not sliding or perhaps causing a dent in the flooring if it were in one place for a long period of time. I therefore cut adjesive backed pads for each foot and we've had no issues with the three pieces shifting or moving around or not being absolutely level and stable. We find them to be a good height and very comfortable. As you can see from the image, I did add some inexpensive standard pillows with just plain, gray pillow cases in order to tie the two together as well as to provide a little extra back and neck support. This set-up has essentially created two, very comfortable recliner style seating for our apartment and we're pleased with it for reading and studying as well. For our use, as you can also see in the image, we've put a large, silver tray in the middle that we use for snacks and beverages and it functions in place of a coffee table. I thought that we would end up moving the gray chaise to one side of the white sofa, but after using it for a month or so, we really liked it this way and therefore put a couple of zero gravity chairs on either side for additional seating. This is a temporary apartment set up for us and we needed inexpensive furniture that would afford us a lot of flexibility and this has so far exceeded our expectations.

Great sofa but beware the UPS delivery!
I give it a 5 for what it is. I bought the chaise along with the futon for a sectional type feel in my living room as a replacement to a Jennifer convertibles sleeper sofa that was ruined by my puppy. Both together cost me just under $500 and made my living room look like a million dollars! Well not really, but u know what I mean :) I bought the grey fabric because I read some pretty bad reviews about the faux leather ones. Initially I wanted the black leather, but between peeling and fabric puncturing I didn't think it was a good idea. I'm glad I did because the fabric is fairly dense and not as porous as I expected, so cleaning is simple and easy as spills don't seem to really penetrate the surface.it's much larger than I expected it to be, and that's not a bad thing. For the price, I definitely thought it would be a miniature version of an average sized sofa. The setup was easy and painless. It was functional in 5 minutes with the help of a friend. It came folded in a box and the only work required was attaching the legs. All parts fit well, nothing was missing and no screws were stripped. My only complaints would be1) it isn't the most comfortable sofa in the world, but honestly I never expect these modern sleek types of furniture to be. It's pretty firm and in certain parts i can feel the metal frame pressing against my bottom. (Futon not chaise)2) Delivery. It came through regular UPS with only one driver. I live in a 5 floor walk up, alone and if I didn't have a friend with me that day, there's no way I would have been able to get it up the stairs by myself. Also, receiving the delivery was a hassle because my building has no intercom system and a kicked front door. Ups driver are not allowed to carry phones (so they say) and I actually missed the delivery twice before I called ups and requested that someone call me when it's on the way so I could make sure they were able to get into the building. I feel like, if you're going to be selling furniture, you should probably have a multitude of moving companies to deliver your products hassle free. Getting it here was such a headache, but now that that's done, I'm I retry happy with my purchase.

Good for the price
This is a pretty good spare bed, unless you're over 6 feet. I bought this chaise to use a spare bed for company and I'm pretty please with it. It's not the best quality item, but it doesn't look cheap either. It's very easy to assemble (just attach the legs) and the recline function is simple to operate. I am curious whether this mechanism will hold up over time though. It works like a lawn chair...you push the head piece forward and it releases so you can adjust the recline angle. When using this as a bed, I bought a twin sized foam topper because I think it's a bit hard for sleeping on its own. My one guest who has slept on this said it was comfortable. This doesn't get used a lot so I can't say whether it would hold up to more wear and tear, but for the price I paid and for what I'm using it for, I'm quite pleased. I'd been looking for a convertible chair/bed for a while and most of the ones I've seen that looked decent were quite expensive. This fit the bill perfectly. It looks modern and functions well as a spare bed when you need one.
