How long will this take to breakdown in a landfill? I ask, because I have some ideas to use this in our workplace.

According to the Internet it takes 6 weeks in a home compost & 16 weeks in a commercial landfill.

Are these compostable?

Yes this product is made from cotton and wood pulp, 100% compostable and biodegradable.

How many times can they be washed before they start to biodegrade?

I have been using one of mine for 4 months to clean my kitchen counters. To clean the sponge I hand wash it with soapy water everyday sometimes multiple times a day. I have also put it wet in the microwave for disinfecting. It has faded a little but still works great and the fibers are holding up nicely. Have significantly decreased paper towel trash.
