Great value for money Alexa compatible smart bulbs. Very bright, but take a bit to setup.
These colour changing smartbulbs are great value for money. Much cheaper than main brand smart bulbs, such as Hive or Hue, but just as good once setup.Their brightness is really good and can produce a very white light if needed. Much brighter than other make cheap smart bulbs I've tried. You can change the warmth of the light, as well as the brightness and a full range of colour. They don't need a hub, and just work via your existing wifi, but do take a bit of time to setup. You need to install their own smart app and then follow the guide to discover and install them. This isn't as straightforward as using main brand bulbs, because you have to experiment to see which version of a protocol is needed to find them, and you have to answer questions about how fast the bulb is flashing in setup mode. It took me a couple of attempts to get the first bulbs working, but once one is setup you know what to select for any more.Integration with Alexa needs you to install a skill as with any thirdparty product. You then need to make sure you have named the bulbs in it's own app before you go into the Alexa app to search for them. You then just add a new device, select bulb and hopefully it finds them. Once added you utilise them like any other bulbs. You can ask Alexa to dim them, change their colour etc and set on/off timers. The only slight annoyance is when asking Alexa to dim the lights if you say anything less than 50% they turn off. In the app you can adjust them the full 0-100%. So I marked down ease of install just because it is a bit fiddly and time consuming. And not completely straight forward. But it's only needed once and they work perfectly once setup. If you compare installing these with a Hive bulb, Hive have really streamlined their device install process. Now when you plug a Hive product in the app automatically finds and installs it and just asks you to name it and assign it a room or group. Probably the easiest install of any smart system I've used, but Hive products are a lot more expensive and you need a Hive smart hub, so really only an option if you have Hive central heating.Would I recommend them? Definitely. If you want smart bulbs these work well once setup and are far cheaper then any main brand bulbs. I got 2 for £16, whereas Hive colour bulbs were £39 each.

Lights that last
I've been using these Avatar Controls smart bulbs for several years now, and I'm still amazed by their performance and reliability. I waited to write this review to ensure I could provide a long-term perspective. The setup process was straightforward, and the app is user-friendly. I love the ability to control the lights remotely, set schedules, and create custom lighting scenes. The color-changing feature is particularly impressive, adding a fun and dynamic element to my home. These bulbs have consistently provided bright, energy-efficient lighting, and I've never experienced any issues with connectivity or performance. I highly recommend these smart bulbs to anyone looking to upgrade their home lighting.Thank You

Long Life, Occasionaly takes multiple attempts
I got these bulbs just over 2 years ago, and after using one of them daily it still works almost perfectly. However occasionaly i have to ask alexa to turn on the light twice, as it didn't work the first time. This could just be because that room is quite far away from my wifi router but for how easy they are to set up, and the price, i would still say it's worth the buy.

Going for another set!
Using it for 6 months now. Perfect set of bulbs, need to download an app for colors.Plenty of options in color selection, various modes like dim, dark, bright, christmas, etc. Stand out feature for me was it's Christmas/Diwali mode where the bulbs will change color automatically or it can go off and on in seconds to have a celebration/party feeling. It also has the timing feature where it will auto dim itself post the time a user enters, like sunrise/sunset etc.Buying another set today and would highly recommend.

Excellent highly recommend
The media could not be loaded. Excellent product. Being disbaled one can reach the lights so having these bulbs are so easy you just put it in like a normal bulb and use the app to fully control the lights. Any colour you want and any brightness so you can make it very dim or very bright. It has the normal light colours as well. I’m the video I showed the happy birthday light show setting on the app where you select a theme and the light bulbs have a pre light show saved and it plays the colours in a specific sequence. I usually have it in the normal colour light but it’s fun to change it one on a while. Also if you don’t want to control it with the app you can still turn the light on and off as normal by the switch on the wall and it behaves like a normal light bulb. But if you do it fast 3 times in a row it resets the light bulb to truncate via blue tooth to your phone so if it flashes that’s what is happened. Highly recommend love it

Most aspects garbage
tl;dr: bluetooth pairing issues, forgetting of pairing resulting into having to remove device and repair causing loss of all presets, wifi connection not working, dim colours, and tinnitus like whine. The warm-cool white mode has a very nice colour and brightness, very charismatic. But unfortunately that's the last good thing I have to say. When you switch into RGB colour wheel to pick a colour, it goes dim, even on 'white', let alone when you go for a more saturated colour which is very dim.I'm guessing with warm-cool white mode there are white LEDs activated, which are switched off for the RGB mode. The colours aren't all well represented either. Some dominate and others disappear into tiny ranges. Orange barely exists. The other issue is it makes a faint high pitched tinnitus-like whine that I can hear sometimes because it's on my desk a foot away from my head.It even continues to make a (different) noise if you turn it off with the app. You need to turn it off at the socket, which then comes with software reconnection fussing.
