Great safety resource for children who wonder off!
As a parent, one thing that’s important to me is safety. I use this on the door so it rings if my kids try to unlock the doors. I live in a 2 floor home and I can hear it ring all the way upstairs in my room with the door closed! It is LOUD, which is great because it would definitely wake me from my sleep. It’s design is easy to use. I keep one in our travel bag with some Velcro straps to use when we travel or go on vacation. Just attach it with velcro for easy install and removal. It’s super sensitive. As soon as you open the door just a slight bit, it rings. If you have small children who have learned to unlock doors, or tend to wonder off, I highly recommend!

LOUD
SO LOUD LOL better than expected. I just have a gap too big on front door. Going to triple stack double sided tape to get it to even out.

mighty loud!
This was very easy to install and turn on, it fits great on the molding along the door frame and the adhesive is strong, but holy moly this alarm is LOUD. I get it, you want to be able to hear it, but I live in an apartment and I am very confident the chime can be heard in my neighbors’ homes as well. I’ll be exploring ways to muffle the sound before using it regularly. Definitely effective and lets you know the door is OPEN!

Who Let the Dogs Out?
My car was broken into in March and the steering column was tampered with in an attempt to steal the car. The man who tried the theft looked up at our cameras as he walked up our driveway, right under a bedroom window, and took only seconds to break into the car. Our dogs never made a sound, and so we heard nothing. It was all caught on our neighbor's cameras and our neighbors also heard nothing as their two dogs never barked either These dogs bark at kids walking by, motorcycles, school buses going down the street, and birds if they chatter loudly, but they slept through the breaking in. I felt unsafe and unable to sleep.I ordered these alarms in the hopes it would keep someone from entering our home or, at the very least, alert us by making the dogs bark! We also have a young child who visits our home from time to time and a pool, this child can run like the wind so an adult is always nearby, so this alarm would give us a heads up before he even gets the door open. It is loud. I know everyone leaving a review says it is loud, so believe it. They are very loud. The alarms can be installed in a minute and work perfectly if you line them up correctly. The adhesive strips stick very well on metal and vinyl. Mine has been turned on and off several times a day and the adhesive has not given way at all. They are simple to turn on and off, so I set them every night before I go to sleep. I dread someone in the house forgetting to slide the button down to turn them off before they try to open the door or bedroom windows because I jump out of my skin. About those dogs; mine dogs go insane from the chime and the alarm sounds. One of them is an escape artist or should I say, he was. He used to push a screen door open and let himself out into a fenced in yard but now he dreads setting off the alarm and waits for the alarm to be turned off. If anyone sets it off by accident we have an immediate three ring circus of noise, bedlam.I think the noise factor between the alarm and the dogs will certainly be a deterrent for would be thieves, and probably scare off univited company as well.

Second time purchasing.
The first time I purchased these was after an incident I had involving my son who is about to enter kindergarten. He’s on the spectrum, and one night in the middle of the night he woke up, feeling anxious about walking to his bus stop (which he was never going to do alone!), but he decided sometime between 2 AM and 4:30 AM that it was necessary for him to see if he could do this by himself. I lived in a very large home with three large dogs and locks on all my doors, but my son’s bedroom was on one side of the house and I was on the other. My husband was in Afghanistan, so it was just me and the dogs and the kids. My son grabbed a few juice pouches, put on his sneakers by himself, climbed on a telephone book to unlock one of the locks on the door that were too high for him to reach, and left my home in the middle of the night, and walked down the street. Ever hear those stories about children with autism, drowning in ponds or getting hit by cars and people blame the parents for being inattentive? Nightmare! My son made it back into the house and to his bed without ever waking up me or the dogs. I only discovered his adventure because he didn’t take off one of his shoes, and left the empty juice pouches on the top of the garbage can in the kitchen, which obviously wasn’t normal. One of my dogs at the time was a gigantic and very watchful Rottweiler and usually when the kids woke up in the night the dogs would wake me if I didn’t already hear them. It didn’t happen. So what to do? I mean a parent has to sleep at some point in time - our bedrooms were on the second floor so I only needed a solution for exit doors. I found these and ordered a set right away. Installed them as soon as I got them. Put them up high and turned them on. They are absolutely ear piercing. The adhesion doesn’t come off. There are settings so that the door just chimes on opening or you can set it to the full on alarm. I didn’t have to change the batteries once in five years. And in a 7000 square-foot house, if I was in the basement, if I was in the backyard , if I was dead to the world asleep, I could hear the alarm. 15 years later, kids are grown, and I am in a smaller place in town on the ground floor and while I’m in a fairly safe area, the rear entry to my unit is obscure, and I know from having a security background that also makes it a great target. I bought another set of these, and have slept just fine ever since. They’re on my first floor doors and windows. It’s a nice inbetween if you don’t want a monitored service or a Ring on every door. Well worth the $ for the piece of mind.

Added peace of mind
I like the door alarms. Gives an extra sense of security knowing when someone is entering/exiting my home

Flimsy glue
I like the product overall but it does not stick very well to door frames. So of them right now is not usable because the glue was not strong enough and it fell off and cannot be reattached. So I lost half of my money since I bought a two-pack.

A must have for home security!
The media could not be loaded. These door alarms are must need if you do not have a home security system. I would even use them if you have one still. The installation process took me literally 2 minutes. Just make sure you align it close enough or the alarm will not sound. I only needed two and they gave me five of them. Thank you for allowing me to add a little peace of mind knowing my home is protected from intruders.
