The Crayola Color Inspiration Kit is a lightweight fold open case that reveals a wide range of colors across crayons, pencils, and markers, and a lot for any kid pre-K to be creative with color. The bounty of the kit is traditional crayons, coming in at 64 different colors (if my basic math skills don't fail me); but, on top of crayons, there are 20 half-size colored pencils, 20 half-size color markers, and 20 full-size color markers. It even includes a pack of paper - albeit it looks like an instruction manual package with blank instructions and unbound (i.e., finding it was more of an oddity than a necessity; it made me laugh seeing it).The markers are water soluble - I had no trouble wiping away marks that missed the paper. There is no pencil sharpener, but I'd honestly rather my daughter not be playing around with a small razor - so you'll probably need to get one to keep separate. And yes it comes with paper, but if you have no decent art paper or coloring books, you'll likely want to grab that too - in the spirit of the kit, I'd say art paper over coloring books. And a clip board or a 2x4 hardboard with large clips on it can keep the attention and the color on the paper.Overall, for what it comes with and its great price, I would recommend giving it a go. It certainly is aimed at an age group, so if your child is starting to really round out their art and are interested in going further, this won't satisfy. This is a kit for a child to develop an initial expression of interest in art (just beyond the wild scribbling phase).

My five year-old grandson got this from us for Christmas and he is obsessed with it as he loves coloring and drawing. This case contains markers, crayons and colored pencils in a beautiful case that can be used in the car or at home. Quality construction for the case and it keeps everything organized and in one place for easy of use. Stores LOTS of markers/crayons/pencils!

I am extremely pleased with the quality of these markers and crayons. My daughter absolutely loves them and uses them frequently. Despite her sometimes aggressive use, nothing has broken so far, which speaks volumes about their durability. The variety of colors is fantastic and keeps her engaged and creative.
