they weren't the big ones I use to have but surprisingly the are pretty nice. like all the light combinations. my only real complaint is the screw to get to the battery is way to small. don't have a screw driver to fit it. still pretty nice.

My teenager daughter was bugging me about "LED lights for the ceiling in my room." I thought she might be referring to the rope christmas lights that became popular several years ago but I struggled to find any that I felt would meet her expectations. I searched for "LED rope lights" and even bought a set only to discover they were the strip lights that lie flat and have double sided tape on the back. I tried to make that work but it was obvious pretty quickly that it was not what she or I had in mind. I kept searching and came across these outdoor rope lights and decided to give them a try. 80ft had me a little skeptical but once they arrived I knew we had a winner. These lights are beautiful and bright and add a really cool element to my daughter's room. I attached them to the top of her walls near the ceiling using little wire clips (black clip with a small nail) and the 80 feet wrapped all the way around her room with a couple feet of lights to spare. The "rope" is pretty small so you can barely even see it when the lights are off; much better than that bulky rope lighting I remember. Several of my daughter's friends have seen her lights and rave about them and how much better they are than the lights they have. Major "dad-win"! I like these so much I am going to buy a set for our theater room in the basement.

Light string was long enough to go around the inside and outside of my deck. Lights are very bright. Remote does not reach very far. I have to be within a few feet of the control box to use the remote. Overall, I'm very happy with the price and performance, except that rain got into the control box and they quit working. I didn't want to unstring them from the whole deck, so I bought an identical set and spliced in the new control box. also wrapped the control box in plastic to keep rain out.

They work great, but you can’t do red white and blue

I dislike that Amazon Prime has taken to sending customers USED and RETURNED products as if they're brand new! I went to hang up my HomeStarry lights today in time for Halloween next week, only to discover that the product doesn't work. At first, I thought I needed to pull the plastic out of the battery, but there wasn't a slip. So I figured I needed to put in a battery. When I pulled out the holder for the battery, the battery was clearly corroded. Then I looked more closely at the remote and their were scratches on it, clearly a return. I replaced the battery with a brand new one and still nothing. I called Amazon customer support and because I was 12 1/2 hours passed the return by date, they refused to help me. I've emailed HomeStarry's customer support as it says they have a 12 Months Hassle-Free Warranty. Fingers crossed they stand behind their product. This is the 2nd time I've received USED and RETURNED merchandise from Amazon. Seriously questioning this company's ethics. Please learn from my mistake and check your products immediately, even if like me you don't have time to set them up right away. Now I don't have lights for Halloween, but am hoping HomeStarry will make it right before Christmas!

After experiencing these thin rope lights, I will never purchase the traditional wired fairy lights again!! They are so easy to handle and work with to hang where u want them. This particular strand has a remote control which allows a bazillion different settings and colors. I have a fun new toy to keep me entertained while sitting in my amazing gazebo enjoying the sounds of nighttime in the woods. I will definitely be buying these type of lights again!

These LED rope lights are so cool that they can be used on any occasion. Instead of having Christmas lights I plan to use these. You can make it one solid color or change the color patterns. There are 16 colors to choose from! How cool is that? I am going to use these on any possible event and holidays. I usually do not put up lights on Halloween, but this year I am plan on it! The drawback is that you cannot dim it and it is very bright. That is not an issue for me as I like my lights bright and showy. The setting and controller requires tinkering with, but once you know how your way around how it works it is pretty fun. Maybe I'll change the light depending on my mood who knows? I got the 66 ft ones because the more lights the merrier. These lights are cheery and lights up my world. Pun intended.

Placed my order on 8/14/25, received my order next day. Placed the rope lights on my flag pole and they looked great. Unfortunately, as of today (8/25/25), the lights no longer work after only 10 days. The lights were very dim last night and not working at all today. I cycled the power cord and used the remote to try and get the lights to work, unsuccessful.I found a small section about 1 inch long where the protective plastic tubing was missing, looks like a manufacturing defect and probably caused a short. Frustrated for sure. Hoping to get the light rope replaced.
