Might as well use the good stuff right?
Only will use oem fluids with my Shimano hydraulic brakes. Always keep some on hand for bleeding when needed.

It's mineral oil....and it's red...in a Shimano bottle.
Used this to flush out the baby oil that I used a year ago and the only difference is that it is red and doesn't smell like flowers. The air bubbles and fluid are a bit easier to see with red oil when bleeding but the price difference is astronomical.

I've been using this fluid in my breaks for years. It works well. I like the color because it's easy to distinguish between New fluid and last years fluid when flushing the system.

Must-Have for Shimano Brakes
High quality Shimano oil for hydraulic brakes. I got the small 100ml bottle (pictured) so I could clean and lubricate the seals of my Ultegra brake pistons, and a little bit on a q-tip works perfectly. Happy that it came quickly and securely with no drips at all.
