used this chain hoist with a gantry to lift the inboard motor out of my boat, and it worked exactly as expected. Very solid construction and performed well—especially impressive considering it's about half the price of similar options at brick-and-mortar stores. The hoist comes coated in an oil to prevent rust and corrosion, which will leave your hands black, but that's not an issue if you're actually using this for heavy-duty work. Great value overall

Got it to lift up my driving lawnmower, works great. Smooth. Don’t need to pull hard to lift items.

Only used it once. Did the job. You can tell this is a cheaper unit. But I didn't need anything special. Doing what it was intended to do. I would repurchase it.

Arrived on time, not super heavy duty, but it worked great for getting the tracks off and back on my old Allis Chalmers crawler.

Not safe. Cannot pull chain with out it locking up every couple pulls. I think this should not be for sale.I cannot feel safe with the use of this hoist. Vendor states this hoist meets ASME B30.16 overhead hoist safety standards. I question that. This is a product of China.
