Great resource for anyone new to the guitalele

I anticipate that this is a self-publishing book and no editor.As a beginner of Guitalele, I cannot tell you if the information provided in this book is incorrect or correct. However, comparing the information in this book & one you can find online is different. For example, this book states that put your ring finger on E for the C major chord. C major chord I have found online shows that E is open most of the time.Regarding editorial issues, I have spotted them here and there. (e.g. the F major and the D major chord. the discrepancy between the F major diagram and its tablature; the discrepancy between the D chord tablature and its description.)The first three chapters (intro, How to Tune, Reading & Playing) were ok. But for an absolute beginner of this type of instrument, I needed more explanation for some paragraphs. To understand correctly, I had to search online or YouTube videos for relevant information for me to understand clearly.More than half of the book is dedicated to Guitalele Practice Songs. I believe they have been chosen for beginners & related to the chords introduced in this book. Half of most of those pages are blank (not using paper space wisely). Thus I have to keep flipping pages even for a very short song which can be fit on one page.In my review score standard, 1 star = avoid 2 start = a gain a little of something but not as much as expected, and 3 start = average. Although I needed extra info from online, the first three chapters introduced me to a Guitalele basic. And the song selections are very basic so they are somehow useful. Do I recommend this book to a beginner? Probably not (especially for this price). Cost performance is poor in my view. Based on this, I leave two starts for this book. (if no editorial issues, 2.5 or 3 stars)

Being a complete beginner I have found this book so helpful. I am pleased with how easy it is to follow, though wish it included some modern songs to try out. The contents could be condensed so as not to stop mid-tune to turn pages, very spread out.

An easy to follow and fun course for beginners. I got my guitalele recently and this helped me learn the basics quickly.

Very disappointing. Nothing new that was not available elsewhere.
