Best Pedia Pals Giraffe Reflex Hammer for proffessional use as Percussion Hammer Instrument Customized to Animal Shape for Pediatric Doctor or Nurse in clinics and Hospital

I'm a pediatrics resident and this little hammer has joined me on my journey. I personally like it over the metal / orange plastic triangle cheap reflex hammer, the angulation of the nose actually does a little bit better on reflexes (my subjective experience).Now, when you use it with kids, you'll find a couple things:1) Kids will be entertained by it and be interested in it.2) Kids will want to play with it, and be careful, because basically it's giving the little ones a tiny hammer to go around the room hitting things with. Choose carefully. Keep it out of view.Last week I was in neurodevelopment clinic and a kid with a lot of things going on decided to break the thing! I can attest that it didn't break, it bent a little and then went back to normal shape. This little Giraffe has been tested against an angry kid set on its destruction and survived.

Idk if I’ve ever actually used this as a reflex hammer, however this is actually great for catching a little kid’s eye and entertaining them while you auscultate or something. This paired with my turtle flashlight = good distraction. And it’s cute. If your on some sort of peds rotation, might as well get it.

If you are looking for a child friendly alternative, this hammer works well. I have a dinosaur and giraffe and have found some kids appreciate a choice.

I definitely wouldn't rely on this as an actual reflex hammer. It served me as a toy to hand to kids that wanted to be more involved in their care in the hospital. It is easy to clean which I appreciate and definitely a popular toy!

It hits knees

This hammer is so cute! Kids love it! I'm a med student and used it throughout my peds rotation. Works well for little kiddos, but older teens and adults probably require a real reflex hammer

Headline says it all. This thing is fun and functional. It definitely brightens my day. It’s a little extra flexible compared to a standard reflex hammer but that actually seems to be useful for getting a nice reflex.

Bought this for my peds rotation and it's a great toy to distract the kids during physical exams (even when you're looking in their ears).Also works fine as a reflex hammer. Obviously you get what you pay for, and it won't have the nice feel of a Queen Square neuro hammer, but I found this to be just as functional as my student-grade Taylor design hammer.I've only been carrying this around for a month so I don't know how well it wears and if the colors will stay nice and bright, but at this price I guess it doesn't really matter.

Anfangs war ich skeptisch, ob der Hammer im Alltag auch tauglich wäre oder ob er nur gut aussieht. Vom Eigengewicht ist er deutlich leichter als ein klassischer Trömner-Reflexhammer, dennoch liegt er gut in der Hand. Reflexe lassen sich damit selbst bei Erwachsenen auslösen, sodass er seinen Zweck erfüllt. Bei den Kleinen kommt er extrem gut an, er fällt ihnen immer sofort auf, wenn man ihn in der Kitteltasche trägt. Und ich selbst muss bei seinem Anblick auch immer lachen. :-)

Reflexhammer DINO Gefällt gut mir, funktioniert gut und ist so auffällig, dass niemand übersehen kann, dass er auch benutzt wurde.
