I was initially worried about the MARKHOR® Cut Throat Razor being too small for my oversized hands, but it turned out to be a fantastic fit. My first straight razor and strop were given to me in 1958, even then they were not new, but I'm still using them, nearly 70 years later. I've just discovered, on-line, modern straight razors with replaceable blades so I thought I'd give one a try, choosing the Markhor for its wooden handle. It comes with a nicely designed pouch and a leaflet with clear instructions (photo-illustrations) on how to fit the blade. I chose Derby Premium blades for starters and am very impressed with the closeness of the shave. The immediate feel of the razor was that I had total control over it but I had to smile at the final words in the instructions "Shave with Caution". I am now looking forward to finding-out how many times each blade continues to provide a good shave. Overall - very pleased with my purchase.

The product itself is not bad, it looks great, feels durable and comes with a leather pouch. The only thing that i am disappointed in is that there are no razors included. The description states that this is a double edge cut throat razor, so i decided to order double edge razors which sadly do not fit.

Good quality sturdy handle the blades are easy to install and remove when needed handle is very ergonomic and easy to hold and use there are no blades including with this they are bought separately

The actual plastic assembly looks and feels good quality . To my surprise there was a leaflet in the packaging saying no blade is included . Apparently Amazon don’t allow the blade to be included ! The product listing photograph shows a pack of blades so this is very misleading . I’m sure this will prove to be a good razor but can’t comment because I will now have to wait for the arrival of blades which I have had to order separately.

A great razor once I had interpreted the instructions and how to lock in a blade! Doh! But, it is comfortable in the hand, well balanced, I just need more practice!!
