As soon as you clip these on, you know you made a great choice. Perfect tight fit, allows you to trim with the confidence that the cheapie guards are not going to fall off and cause you to gap it up. Very sturdy and well made, which makes your clippers truly feel like one solid machine. I've been cutting my own hair for 28 years, and I wish I'd bought these 28 years ago. The only thing that would make this set better is to include the 1.5" and 1/2" guards which are crucial for tapering and fade. Also bought the big boy 10 and 12, which are also extremely well made (no metal). I feel like a pro barber now, and honestly, I'm better than any barber at my cut now. Savings> 10,000+

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Love the quality of the plastic on these. Unfortunately, the kit doesnt come with the 1/2 guard. Would have given 5 stars if that was included instead of the bigger guards. Get these instead of the new version that are color coded and comes with the box. Those are trash.

I've used these countless times over the last several months and not one has broken, and their performance compared to 100% plastic ones is superior. That's the reason I bought these. The cheaper 100% plastic alternative, and most common, break all the time. The a100% plastic version will break over time regardless of whether you're careful with them or not. The plastic version over time breaks from the stress of bending the lip into place on the clippers repeatedly. This eventually causes that part to snap off. These don't have that problem because they are metal in that specific area. Perfect. And they snap in to place better too..
