Venture Horizon Revolving Media Tower 1600 Grande-Cherry

This is a great product! It wasn't too hard to assemble directions were precise. I installed and loaded it up today. I have the majority of my DVD and BluRay movies in it. Loaded to capacity it is very heavy so not sure how the plastic "lazy Susan" would have worked. Like many others I upgraded to the metal one for +- $13 dollars and I am glad I did. I know the seller states the plastic one they provide will suffice but I doubt it. The product would be even better if it came with a more sturdy Susan. Although this is a huge space saver, it does have a pretty big footprint but looks much better than taking up an entire wall.The construction seems to be good but it is particle board, so keep that in mind. I didn't do a count but it holds a lot of blu ray and dvds. No problems with shipping although the FedEx guy just threw it on the floor in front of my door. Luckily no parts were damaged.If you have a good amount of movies you need to store, buy it, you will not be disappointed. If you decide to upgrade to the 1000# lazy susan you will need a drill, and possibly a hammer to tap some of the pieces in for shelving. I didn't use one and it still worked out. You have to kinda twist them in. Most will not go in by just pushing with your fingers and that can start to hurt after a while.During the install I did connect the lazy susan to the base and the bottom shelf but if you have a lot of movies I doubt it would go anywhere. Take the extra precaution....The entire install less breaks and watching tv takes about an hour with the longest parting being installing the replacement lazy susan (if you have never done something like that before).

I've converted my office closet adding shelves for my books, I purchased rack storage for my vinyl collection of over 500 60s and 70s rock n roll. I have numerous display cases for my 80s horror and science fiction collectibles and statues. And Now I have a spinning media storage rack for my movies and CDs.It came with no damage to any of the shelves and all the hardware was present. I read through the instructions which are very easy to understand. I had it assembled in about an hour. I like how each step makes the rack more solid and secure. I used the plastic 'lazy susan' it came with and has no issues with the weight distribution and it spins easily and silently.I went with black and it looks great. Now I have to go through and get everything in alphabetical order.Conclusion: easy to assemble by one person, goes together easily, feels solid and well-constructed, spins with no issues with included 'lazy-susan' and I still have room to add movies for the next several years. I love physical media, and I have over 500 DVDs that needed a way to be displayed in my new, downsized home. The shelving units I looked at either couldn’t hold them all, or were so big that I didn’t have enough wall space. I found this tower by accident, and I’m so glad I did. It has a larger footprint than I imagined, but it takes up just one corner and holds my entire collection with room for plenty more. I bought an upgraded metal turntable based on others’ recommendations, but I ended up using the plastic one that came with the unit since it was made for this tower and wouldn’t require extra work, and it spins absolutely perfectly and handles the weight of the fully loaded tower just fine. This was simple to build, and the customer service was excellent!

I first purchased another rack option that was pricey but flimsy and arrived damaged. I am still trying to get a refund for them. I decided to try these after reading the reviews. I purchased 2 but I think the music capacity might be more generous than what was listed in the description. They arrive well packaged in 2 boxes, however the boxes are very heavy I needed help. I also purchased the metal casters mentioned in other reviews just in case and I'm glad I did! (VXB Brand 1000 lbs Capacity 12" Lazy Susan Bearing 5/16 Thick Turntable Bearings Made in USA 1000 lbs. max 15" inch to 30" inch Turntable Diameter Zinc Plated) The piece provided is plastic and is thin, small, and flimsy. When using the metal replacement the predrilled holes at the bases do not line up but it is easy to add some short wood screws to fasten it to the base. My review would be 5 stars if not for this point. The cabinet is pricey. I really feel this is the most negative part of the shelve. This is a big heavy cabinet. You would never be able to turn the cabinet with it fully loaded using the caster provided. The manufacturer should replace this piece. I was suprising my husband with this cabinet so I assembled it myself. I have no handyman experince and I was able to put it together but it took me several hours to figure out the first one. That said the directions are pretty good. Its a great cabinet that should last for years. I know the pic is dark but the color is also very nice in person.
