I brought this for hubby for Father's Day and he couldn't be more thrilled. He says it is very smooth and handles the big ones with ease. He uses it for both salt water and fresh and caught a Drum with no problem.

2 stars for the shipping, huge box with no protection inside, tip was snapped off. Already got rid of box so will try to buy another and return in the next box. Pole seemed nice, bummer I have to return.

Showed up damaged where the reel attaches to the rod. I’m sure it’s due to the enormous box it came in allowing it to bounce around. Doesn’t effect the function but I wouldn’t have considered this “new”.Still strung it up and fished with it, very pleased with it as far as use.

If I could give this negative stars , I would. This is a terrible product. First one arrived broken so returned for a replacement immediately. Got replacement but due to weather couldn’t get out to use it before the return window closed. It broke on the fourth cast. DO NOT BUY THIS POLE!!!

The fishing pole was delivered twice broken. My first attempt to post this on Amazon was rejected. This is the first time in more than 5 years I have ever returned a product.

The rod is total crap but the reel seems great.

Bought this for my cousin. It appeared to be a good sturdy pole however the eyelets are not breaking off. Not good for the price I paid.

Unbelievable first rod I ever bought online and the tip was broke off,should of known it wasn't packaged well with the frown face drawn on box. Pitiful I can't use it until I fix it
