Forged from the Ashes (Wings of War Book 1) Kindle Edition

I feel like the description for this book is a bit misleading. It's set in a kind of post-apocalyptic world where humans attacked and killed most of the female dragons before the dragons retaliated and pretty much wiped them out. So there are very few dragon females left and Ezra, the FMC, is the only one in their town. She has 3 older triplet brothers who protect her, plus a younger brother she raised since their parents died in the war. She is almost 24, which is when female dragons begin to go into heat until they pick and bond with their mates - only no one told her this before. 3 newcomers enter the picture and catch her eye and I don't want to spoil what happens. It is a standalone, the next book in the series follows the triplets. There is a trigger warning in the description, but there are only vague references to a past attack that was easily thwarted and some vague talk about prior physical abuse from one of the men. There is some allusion of what happens to the few female humans that are kept around, but if none of what I just wrote triggered you, you're probably fine to read the book. There are almost no typos and the characters are interesting. Although I'm still trying to figure out how humans were able to surprise and kill most of the female dragons, but specifics on the start of the war are never given.

*WARNING* contains sexual content, and goreThis is different in that dragons are worried about humans. Dragons are fighting dragons. Females are forced into sex.That being said, this book is slow to get started. I almost gave up on it. I'll not be reading the next book in the series because this one was so slow. The story was fast, and action packed at about half way through.

I loved this, it was hard to put down after two pages in I was hooked. Ezra is rare not only because she is female but because she can kick butt and is more fierce then most guys in her town. Ezra has to choose her mates and finish the trials , but danger lurks around every corner the closer her age gets like a ticking time bomb. Will she find the loves of her life in time for her heat or will the scientist get to her first. It’s like ‘Hunger games’ meets ‘Her Guardian’ Series but edgy and it wasn’t corny like some Harlem books are. I can’t wIt to read book 2!

I love how the main character who is a badass women who knows how to fight and doesn’t need help saving herself

I absolutely loved the characters in this book. They had me crying, laughing and just right there with them in the book. This is another amazing series!

This book started out fun and snarky but don't let it fool you. There is some Handmaidens Tale on crack going on up in here. There is nice comedic relief to keep it from getting too heavy but man, there are some nasty men in this one.

Ah what's not to love about Ezra? She is feisty and I like that. Maybe she was protected by brothers but she still got sass! This book is a different take on dragon shifters and I can only recommend this book as an awesome hilarious book that will draw you in.

Omg in love with the main character she’s amazing. The guys are great in there own way. I enjoyed all the twist and turns you put her threw along with mates.

What a great standalone RH read. A dragon shifter story but with a fresh storyline plot that was different to anything else I have read. A feisty strong heroine, 3 dragon shifter hotties and lots of drama excitement and a little steam. I thoroughly enjoyed this book
