Calling it a WIN
This manual pump has totally saved me from quitting (numerous times) while exclusively pumping. As a first time Mom of a 2.5 week old, feeding and pumping has unfortunately brought me a lot of stress. I am sharing this in my review in case it helps someone else.I have two medical grade automatic pumps with tubes; using them honestly makes me feel depressed. I tend to dwell in feelings of lost bodily autonomy while sitting and waiting for the 35 minute cycle on my other pumps to empty me while everything else in my life must wait. Disassembling them and cleaning them only to reuse a few hours later is just insult to injury. But with this pump, I love that I can stop/start with this pump and can even bring it on the go when I’m feeling engorged. It empties me way quicker and has really helped my supply. It is half the parts as my other pumps and much easier to clean.I love it so much that instead of constantly contemplating ending my pumping journey, I have now found myself considering buying a second of this pump just to keep in my car. Thank you Medela for this pump.

My Unexpected Breastfeeding Bestie!
Alright, fellow milk-makers, let me tell you, I've got a whole parade of fancy, expensive, hospital-grade electric pumps sitting in my cabinet, collecting dust like they're competing for the "most neglected appliance" award. Why? Because I fell head over heels for the humble, mighty, and utterly fantastic **Medela manual breast pump**. This thing isn't just good; it's my *only* pump, and honestly, it's been a total game-changer.Seriously, who knew a little hand-powered contraption could outperform the big guns? This pump is ridiculously **easy to use** – no confusing settings, no tangled cords, just pure, unadulterated milk extraction magic. It's so intuitive, you could probably use it in your sleep (and let's be real, you probably will during those early morning feeds). But the real unsung hero? How gloriously **easy it is to clean!** No complex nooks and crannies for milk to hide in, just a few simple parts that rinse clean in a flash. My expensive electric pumps practically require an engineering degree and a full archaeological dig to properly sanitize, while this Medela manual is ready for action again in minutes. And for all my fellow mamas with unique needs, here's another bonus: **most universal flange inserts work great with it!** This was a huge win for comfort and efficiency, allowing me to customize my pumping experience without being tethered to proprietary parts. So, if you're drowning in expensive pumping gear and feeling overwhelmed, do yourself a favor and snag a Medela manual pump. It's affordable, efficient, and will probably become your favorite secret weapon against engorgement and low supply. It's truly the little pump that could!

Get it
The media could not be loaded. First time mom of 2 months old here. I FEEL STUPID AND SCAMMED FOR buying Elvie electric pump + extra parts over a time to have more time between washing. I spent over $600 hoping this would make my pumping process easier. All the arrangements I was supposed to be able to do.. just caused me so much stress because I had to be careful so it doesn’t fall off my bra and at least once a day when I’ve been pumping for maximum time (40 minutes) I had less than an oz in both because I didn’t attach it properly or it slipped away somehow from my nipple. So my breast was still full and painful and I had to charge this devil device to pump again not to mention how annoying it was to have it on me. Yesterday I got super pissed because it happened again at a night time feeding (my son is too sleepy at night to breast feed him so I use bottle and pump in the meantime) and when I thought I was done my pump was empty and my breast sore and I just wanted to go back to sleep so I was like okay I’m done and ordered this cheap pump. I feel stupid I didn’t do it before… it’s a game changer. Yes you have to pump manually but idgaf. I can empty my breast in 10 minutes, no more soreness even tho it hurt my nipple at first but I got used to it already (in a less than 24h). It spilled on me once because I didn't expect the bottle to fill up so quickly. It's a quick action and quick washing, not the whole process of charging devices, washing many parts and turning on the application, which doesn't show the correct amount of milk anyway. I was a step away from giving up on pumping but I gave this device a chance and with a clear conscience I can say that operating this trivial invention is pure pleasure. At night it safes me so much time and is more effectively. I recommend it 100%.

This is an essential when strictly pumping or breast feeding 100/100
I highly recommend! I have 3 breast pumps Ive got a spectra wall pump, momcozy cordless ones and this one and out of all 3 this is my favorite one! I get more milk out ALOT QUICKER and ALOT MORE MILK! At first I was skeptical because I didnt realize but I was using it wrong. Do the expression mode to start off once you have your milk dripping then hold switch to the flow mode and hold for 5 seconds each time before releasing the handle. This is a huge game changer! NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A HAND PUMP!!! Only thing you have to do is make sure each part is perfectly assembled and you’re good to go!

Caution: pump seal not tight
The hand pump is very convenient when I go to the gym or when my baby only nursed on one side. I can quickly express milk to equally and efficiently empty my breast. Because I have a fast flow, I can easily express 2-3 oz from both sides with 10 mins combined. And I can control how long/strong the suction to be by long holding the handle. I would love to give a five-star review until this happened. As I was transporting from gym to home, I put the pump on my lap and it tilted with a little angle. I thought it’d be fine until I suddenly felt wet on my pants and then realized the milk leaked through the pump part. I didn’t bring the cap with me cuz I thought I wouldn’t need to and I thought the seal would be tight anyway. Got frustrated over spilled milk so I took one star off. Maybe make sure the pump also seal tight as the cap, it would be better.
