Well built with easy access
Sturdy construction with easy to access latch and worth the price. Only issue is that the .39" mesh is a bit to wide for catching smaller bait fish which was my intended use.

The perfect blue crab trap...
It's big but not too big, lightweight, the entry way holes on each end are big, it comes with a small bait bag, a carry bag, and rope; but the best part is there is a 3rd metal clip on one end that lets you open half the lid up so you can easily shake the crabs out. (2 clips collapse the trap and a 3rd clip is to open half the lid--look for it on one end). My 93 year old father loves it.

Summer fun approved.
Have caught many aquarium sized fish in this but nothing substantial. Turtles easily took the bait bag completely off into the wild blue the first time I set it so we kind of rigged our own bait bags after that. For a summer of fun for your kids this is not a bad product at all.

Nice
Lays flat, then springs out to shape once you unhook a clasp. Only used once - successfully trapped minnows and crayfish. Seems durable.

The ok
Great for down sizing the turtle population! The mesh broke after the first use. I wanted to blame the turtles but they were so small. I did catch a couple crawfish but the gars also got in. The price isn't bad. So may buy it again just to see what comes out the water.

19.6 is very large but good for catching larger things.
I used to have the smaller (11.8 in) option but lost it after a storm. I opted for the larger (19.6 in) option this time and it is comically large. However it has proven to be better at catching larger prawns than the smaller option since the trap gateway is bigger. the smaller trap was good for catching 4 - 6 inch prawns, the larger option is consistenly catching 6 - 9 inch prawns.

Good!
We tried these out for the first time today, they were nearly filled with crayfish!I did a quick skim over the instructions to understand how to hang the bait using the bag, and then went to town using a empty water bottle as a floater so we couls hook the twine roap they come with.Trying to figure out how to get the crayfish out of the trap took us a little longer to figure out than it should have... lolThen i noticed the second half loop on one end, and a little silver clip!Such a slick of a design, I'm a big fan of these.I'm buying another set!For the crayfishWe purged them all day long using the lake water in my live well, something i learned a few months back, you want them to breath and allow the dirt and crud to come out vs Trying to shock them. After a day out letting them cleanse in the livewell, we steamed them to perfection after a 10min crash course via the internet.I'm a fan finally!
