Yugo pattern okay and good!
I was apprehensive but so tired of spending way too much on mounts. Especially with so many AK variants. Usually I fail or just stick with the name brands. This time I didn’t! I mean it’s just a little loose on the rail. I alway use the hex to gauge good closure while opening and closing the lever for final fit. Oil the hardware. Its build is good! It’s level tight and not moving! I’ve got over 500 rounds on it with zero issues other than I routinely check the tightness. Worth it! Score! I saved $60 I can buy one round of 223 now!

Bad design causes immediate failure
I bought this mount because I wanted to test out modern optics on an AK platform without dropping several hundred dollars on a mount from a company like RS Regulate. Initial impression was very good, the mount was easy to adjust tension on and fitted perfectly to the rail of my WASR-10. The pic rail section itself fits nice and low over the receiver, and while perhaps not perfectly centered over the bore it was perfectly straight and close enough for my purposes. I mounted a compact RDS to the rail and took it out to the range for sighting in. I decided to try zeroing at 25 yards using Wolf steel-case 7.62x39. I shot a three round group and had a nice 1" group that was high and right. I adjusted the sight and fired a second group that was dead on and again about 1". I fired a third group to confirm zero and noticed the first two rounds were nice and tight and the third was more than 2" low. I thought I may have yanked the trigger so I went to shoot another grouping, as I was lining up for the first shot I pressed my thumb against the back of the mount and it simply fell off the side of the rifle. After several attempts to remount and continue testing I discovered that the locking mechanism which prevents the release lever from moving had failed and the mount would not stay tightened down. I would return the mount but I was only able to get to the range and test it three days after the return window had closed. If you are looking for a side mount for an AK type rifle I would recommend trying something with the standard 180 degree side throw lever of the Russian original type mounts.

It's OK
You're going to need to do some slight bending to make it true

Scope mount for my rack 47
This scope mount is a great option for the money, after 300 rounds it still holds zero. I just love this now wish I would have bought it sooner would recommend and even buy another one soon for my other AK right now I have it on a rack 47 and it works great everyone with an AK should try it it's cheap enough I hope this helps five stars.

Best Bang for your Buck
I was aghast looking for a side optic mount for my AK finding prices well over $150 on fancy brand name mounts for a glorified picattiny rail until I found this immensely affordable option. Mounted mine, sighted in my newly acquired Sig Romeo5 and I truly couldn’t be happier with the performance of this product for 75% less money. Has a slight left bias, but upon research they all do so why pay an extra $100? All in all, if you just got your AK and are looking to mount an optic, start here and use the savings to buy the optic.
