Can be used as a base layer or alone in warmer climates.After several drying cycles it has started to fray in places but still useable.Can't remember what the label said but maybe a no to tumble drying.

The Helly Hansen Lifa Active Crew is unlike any base layer I’ve used before, it’s the first one that actually adapts to my runs instead of making me fight it. On chilly mornings, it warms me up instantly without ever getting sticky or clammy as I pick up the pace. The fabric feels smooth on my skin, but it’s tough enough to shrug off the occasional brush against my bag strap or a branch during early jogs. I ran a few miles in damp weather, and it dried fast, didn’t trap sweat, and surprisingly didn’t hold onto odors, which is a small thing but makes a big difference. The cut hugs my shoulders and chest without squeezing, yet lets me stretch and twist freely while running or reaching for overhead lockers at the gym. I’ve even worn it casually under a jacket for errands, and it doesn’t scream “technical running gear”, which I appreciate. After several washes, the fit, color, and stitching are still solid, so I feel like I actually got my money’s worth.For me, it’s more than just a shirt; it’s a base layer I can trust whether I’m chasing miles, running errands, or stepping out into unpredictable weather.

HH gear is simply the best. The Lifa Active Crew Shirt looks great and is perfect for running or hiking. Its an ideal base layer in wintry/snow/ice conditions when I know I'll be toasty and comfortable all day, no matter how busy I am in the great outdoors.
