It works but modification was needed
The only downfall on this Ash dump is that where the tray door rod's attach to the frame the block receptacle for the rod is way overextended on the outside frame like 1/2inch of extra steel on each side of those blocks and will contact the floor if you dont have a lot of blow out at both ends of your hole those blocks need to be cut back a bit to get it in properly. I cut them back and recoated that section with a high heat coating and it's good to go, just beware if you're not able to modify them yourself it may not fit in the hole flush.

Perfect replacement for my old broken fireplace ash dump cover
Good quality, good value fireplace ash dump cover. I Used this to replace a decades old cover that had broken. It fit the opening and works well.Be sure to check fireplace measurements carefully.

Well designed and good quality
Top side of the lid is weighted underneath so it closes easily and stays closed unless you specifically push to open the lid.Larger diameter rod supports on each side of the lid, and the heavier weight of the lid, make the lid quite secure so it is less likely to accidentally flip off the frame.Good lid seal when it is closed because the lid is a good fit and because the edges of the frame go underneath the sides of the lid.

Easy to install

Just what I needed
The media could not be loaded. Good product, good price, did what it was supposed to. It fit in the whole loosely so I had to use some fireplace grout to get it to set securely. I used Rutland metal to masonry furnace cement in the caulking tube it seems to have worked well
