Comfortable, Breathable, and Perfect Fit!
The Hanes Men’s Cotton Moisture-Wicking V-Neck Tee Undershirts are exactly what my husband needed! The 6-pack is a great value, and the quality of the fabric is impressive—soft, lightweight, and breathable. The moisture-wicking feature really works, keeping him dry and comfortable throughout the day, even during workouts or hot weather. The V-neck style is perfect for wearing under dress shirts without showing, and the fit (Small US) is true to size—snug but not tight. These undershirts have held up well after multiple washes with no shrinking or fading. They’re a reliable staple for everyday wear and layering. If you want affordable, high-quality undershirts that keep you cool and comfortable, these Hanes tees are a fantastic choice. Five stars all the way!

Solid product, quality, feels good on the skin!
Hanes is the tee I most prefer on my skin. It’s amazingly soft but not sheer. It’s a typical white color which suits me just fine. It’s a quality tee at an affordable price. You can wash it a million times and its shape will be retained. The fit also runs true to size.

V-neck blousy vs narrow dilemma
The inherent problem with v-neck white undershirts is that the manufacturer does not know if it will be worn under something or on its own. Old schoolers such as Hanes assume the former and therefore make the neck wide so that when you unbutton the collar of the overshirt, the undershirt is not visible, which is the whole reason it exists compared to the crew neck which is visible. But if you are wearing a v-neck on its own, this creates a blousy floppy look which is apparent when you compare it to colored v-necks, which are not intended for undershirt use and a narrower tighter collar. Gildan undershirts do not make this old school assumption and instead have a narrower neck almost like colored standalone v-neck shirts. But If you prefer Hanes fabric which is a bit cooler and lighter than Gildan for summer wear, one option is to stir the shirt in boiling or close to boiling water and dry it in high heat to shrink and thereby narrow the collar. Since sizing these shirts is already problematic given typical ranges going straight from 38-40 (39 in effect) to 42-44 (43 in effect) which means there is no size 41, you'll want to buy the next size up from your preferred fit and then shrink down from there. If you are a size 41 this is the only way to get a correct size shirt sentinel 40-42 size is even offered, and, further, to shrink the collar so it is not blousy if you want to wear the Hanes white v-neck undershirt as a standalone. This also works with Gildan though their v-neck collar does not require quite as much narrowing as Hanes. As Hanes comes to realize that the old school concept of v-necks being used as undershirts is becoming outdated, hopefully they will narrow their v-neck collar as Gildan has done, though it too could benefit find narrowing slightly more. Both great companies and understandable reasons for their choices. If Hanes is committed to wide v-neck undershirts to remain unseen under and over shirt, Hanes would benefit from offering a separate narrow v-neck product to let the customer choose which they prefer.

Budget Pack, But Sizing and Fabric Disappoint
Product: Hanes Ultimate Men's 6-Pack V-Neck T-ShirtUsed for: 4 and a half monthsKey Features:– Comes in a value 6-pack, ideal for backups or casual layering– Lightweight cotton construction– Basic v-neck cut suitable for undershirts or standalone wearRatings:Quality:The material is thin and feels a bit itchy. It seems like it could hold up okay with light use, but overall, the fabric and feel are underwhelming.Rating: 3/5Performance:The fit runs small—medium felt more like a small—and there was noticeable shrinkage after washing. You’d definitely need to size up. Beyond that, if the sizing is right, it could be comfortable enough for casual wear or layering.Rating: 3/5Value:You get what you pay for. It’s not a bad deal if you need a bunch of shirts to throw on and don’t care much about long-term use. But if comfort and quality matter more, it’s probably smarter to buy fewer but better-made shirts.Rating: 3/5Pros:– Decent for throwaway or backup shirts– Multipack pricing is affordable– Fit could be fine if you size upCons:– Runs small and shrinks significantly in the wash– Fabric is thin and can feel itchy– Overall quality is underwhelmingSummary:The Hanes Ultimate V-Neck 6-Pack is fine if you're just looking for cheap, disposable tees for light use. They’re thin, tend to shrink, and the sizing is tight—so definitely size up. If you’re after softness or longevity, you’ll likely be disappointed. This is more of a stopgap option than a staple piece.Overall Rating: 3/5Disclaimer: This review is based on my personal experience using the product.
