For security reasons, the lock was designed to be back to "lock" position within three seconds automatically after a correct code is entered. This security feature will prevent a "forgot-and-left-unlock" after an entry. However, if you need to open/close frequently without the need for security, you can consider setting up "passage mode" with one-key touch open without entering an access code. This Keyless Door Lock (electronic keypad lock) Fits both left and right-hinged doors. It is Designed for Do It Yourself (DIY), and Easily replaces most existing door locks. I followed the instructions below and it worked! Enter your master code, wait for the beep to stop, and press "*" before the light goes off. This disables the sound on my lock.
