This is a big improvement over the plastic trash bags we were using. We would put trash in, then the whole bag would fall down. Not good. This item has a retainer that keeps the trash in until you are ready to change the bag. Major improvement!

I love this. I used to use shopping bags wrapped around my shift as a trash bag. It was always in the passenger's leg space. With this I can keep it out of the way. However, it doesn't fit well between the front and back seat in the middle. And my middle seat doesn't move back any. It was easy to put together and if you spill anything inside just wipe it out. It wipes fairly easy. I don't typically have a lot of trash so the storage space is very good. I can go up to 2 weeks before it needs a nee trash bag. I use those scented garbage bags in 4 gallon. I'd buy again.

my wife is a neat freak. she insists the kids throw the trash in the back into this bin. however, my youngest cannot reach it in his car seat. and the lid, once it comes off, is not easy to put back on.my son would prefer something he could throw his trash in, like an open bin. and i'd prefer one (as i empty the bin at the gas station) where the lid was easy to take off and put back on.if you have a messy trash--like an apple, some of it will get on the rubber opening of this bin.
