National Lampoons Christmas Vacation Advent House Calendar

I loved my new advent calendar. It’s the perfect size for my table. I first saw this in the Christmas Vacation movie and wanted one just like it. I love the fact that it has lighted pictures for its countdown til Christmas Day. I don’t need to fill it with candy. I prefer the beautiful pictures. Just what I wanted! A little pricey but nice.

LOVE THIS HOUSE! I have to be one of the biggest fans of Christmas Vacation and have always wanted the advent calendar house... I love the house, it’s well made & the doors are so cute to reveal each day. It consumes batteries like crazy though, so make sure to buy lots of batteries for it during the holiday season.

I do not write many reviews, but I was hesitant to purchase this based off other reviews so figured I would leave my two cents. Overall we are very happy with the purchase. I think most of the negative reviews are probably people that did not realize it is a miniature version of the house and therefore were disappointed. Yes the house is smaller, only about 1 ft wide by 1 ft high but who really has room for a 3 foot house anyway. Those are custom made and go for $2000 and need to be special ordered.I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. yes it is plastic but the doors are all very uniform and seem solid put together. The lights are very nice and have a timer feature, so the fact that it is battery powered is not really a big deal. Nice in a way that you can place it anywhere without needing to be by an outlet.The pictures in the windows are not necessarily from the movie but they are very nice and clear.So overall we are very happy, just know what you are ordering before you do it, level-set your expectations and you will be pleased.

We watch Christmas Vacation every year with our family. It is our favorite. I saw this and had to get it for my husband! I was apprehensive after reading negative reviews but was pleasantly surprised by how nice it really is! I happen to think the size is perfect. It looks so beautiful at night wth the lights on. There are tiny icicles hanging from the roof. If Christmas Vacation is a family tradition in your home you will love this!

Do not buy this product. It is low quality Chinese manufactured crap. The price is too high! It isn't worth $50!!! Mine showed up damaged because it is so cheaply made, and still had to pay shipping to return it. Save yourself return shipping and do not buy!

It's plastic, not real big, runs on batteries and well over $200. I bought it because my wife loves the movie and she really wanted this otherwise I would not have spent the money. One nice feature that gets it the two stars is the timer feature where it is on for six hours, off for 18.

I’m a fan of the movie and so I’ve been wanting this for a long time. I finally convinced myself to spend the money and it’s not really what I thought it would be. It’s missing day 1, it’s not that sturdy. For the money not so worth it, it’s a little overpriced but you’re paying for the National Lampoons name really. I could see it being $60, But not what it’s priced at. Had I known, I may not have spent the $$ on it. It’s more like a toy then a collection item.

This advent calendar exceeded my expectations. It was well worth the $100.00. We opened a door each day. The pictures in the door were quant and beautiful. It brought light to this very dark time. If you love Christmas Vacation, you will love love this advent calendar. Highly recommend.
