Like These Enough I Bought a Second
I've had a 4 Classic since 2021 and there's enough to like about it that I haven't seen a watch I'd rather have. The battery life is the biggest downside. You can stretch it by running very few of its features continuously, but then what is the point of having it at all in that case? Using all the features to track your personal health journey, it is possible to get nearly full day charges, but you have to time a period of inactivity in which to fully recharge the watch in order to get through the night for sleep tracking and through the typical day. It charges relatively quickly, but this can still be hard to accomplish. Because of this, I bought a second watch here in refurbished condition. My plan is to let my day watch charge overnight while I switch to this watch for sleep tracking and use as a general backup. The Samsung Health App seems to deal with this well so far. I just turn the watch I'm going to charge off, then turn on the next watch. I never charge them while they are on. The condition of the watch was indistinguishable from new. It even came with a charger and a new band. The band is not my favorite, but it isn't uncomfortable either and will serve my purposes well. I looked at a new Watch 7 and Watch 7 Ultra, but even with longer battery life, the main problem that it eventually needs to be charged is not solved. I'm liking the solution of just having two identical watches best. As for the watch itself, I like it a lot. It isn't 100% accurate in all circumstances with all features, but it is close enough to be informative. If you need medical grade information, I'm sure you'll never find it on any watch to date. This is a heavy watch. If you don't like those, this isn't for you. My first Watch 4 Classic has survived over 3 years of use and I work blue collar type jobs. I've been surprised how tough and durable the screen is, mine still doesn't have a scratch. I think the dial bezel, which is a great feature in use, does a great job of adding protection. I got the silver color and it just looks like a classic watch with a modern flair. The grey on the band takes away from the crhrome a bit. A black band would put more focus on the watch itself.

Very comfortable and sleek looking
Works as if it were new. TONS of features and available apps. The Samsung health app connects easily and is comfortable to wear all day.P.S. sanitize your watch at the end of each day. All the sweat and grime build up your watch can take a really ugly turn if it's isn't sanitary.

Not much to love
Yesterday I received the Samsung Watch 4 -10/2024. I bought it used and it came as expected a few micro scratches nothing important. I paid about $90 dollars for it. The watch came with 66% of the battery and after setting it up (which was easy) I can say I was impressed by the amount of things the watch can do. However, that's as far as it goes right to this point. I charged the watch, after setting it up, to 99% battery. I went to bed wearing it to check the sleep monitor at work. It did work as expected. I slept for about 5-6 hours and watch was at about 40% battery. I did not like that at all. It let me know that in full use I probably will not make it through the entire day. I will update on that today because I got full day of work plus gym workout. A serious, and why the 3 stars, is because Samsung failed to alert people (its watch customers at least) that without a Samsung phone you can not use about 40% of the advertised features in this watch, which as I said before there are lots of them. I have a Motorola Razr 2023 and I can not install the Samsung Health Monitoring app on my phone because it is not a Samsung phone (something that it would have giving me paused to buy it). The Samsung Health Monitoring is preinstalled in the watch but it will not work if not installed on your phone. There are some features that still can be used through the SAMSUNG HEALTH app (not to be confused with the monitoring app which measures blood pressure, glucose and the works). You can install Google Fit which is nice for me since I use it for workouts. I have a Samsung tablet which I use for work, but there you can not install the SHM app either, it is only allowed to be installed in phones. I will give an update in couple of weeks. Update 4 days after purchase. After wearing the watch for couple of days I increased my rating to 4 stars. The amount of customization in this watch is impressive. Connectivity is strong it won't disconnect from my phone easily (one of the problems I have with the Tic Watch that kept disconnecting from my phone and it was a pain in the back while running because I couldn't manage the music) in the Samsung watch it's not happening. Battery life is not the best but with some tweaking at night it can be manageable. Eating only 15 to 20% through the night. Changing take 2 hours from single digit to above 90%. So far I'm happy with the purchase. About the health monitor which is one of my major gripes with Samsung, I spoke to few people that have the entire Samsung platform and the average answer was that health monitor didn't work as good or as expected. Wearing the watch at full power at work and gym, usually 10 to 12 hrs, the watch consumes about 50 to 70% of the battery. So charging it every day is a must. Keep this in mind when buying it. It works for me because I can manage to charge twice a day for about 1 hr. I will update again in a month or so.

Versatile, accurate, and a great price
Has a lot of great features but not too many. You can track activities by steps, time, and distance and you can also get your heartrate and oxygen rate. Plus get notification of calls and emails and texts and can read texts. Mileage and step counters seem to be quite accurate. All that for a great price compared to Apple and other products.

Great watch!
First watch of this type I have owned. Warning, it will quickly become something you will depend on. I use the step counter feature every day. Connected to my phone, it is invaluable for quickly seeing notifications as they come in without have to constantly handle my phone. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

Great buy for a great watch.
What a great buy! Works beautifully, and replace my old Galaxy watch 4 which after a nmber of years was starting to show it's age. THe new one provides everything I was looking for and even as a "refurb" I couldn't tell it from brand new. Not crazy about the band it came with, so I took my nice metal band off my old watch and replaced it.Overall exactly as I expected, and a very good value.
