As expected
Bought this for my daughter because she wants to be Merida (Brave) for Halloween. We did a test run tonight, and it worked as expected. The color is bright even on my daughter’s medium brown hair. I will try not to spray her part next time because it looked weird with an orange stripe on her skin. Her hair basically felt like cotton candy, but again, you expect that with spray hair color. The smell isn’t bad, it just smells like old lady perfume, lol. We didn’t let it dry all the way, so I’m not sure if it will get all over everything when dry, but it definitely gets all over everything when wet. I would definitely suggest spraying it outside. I will be buying another can since I don’t think one can will color all of her hair, especially after the test run.

Great for crazy hair day
This worked great for my son’s crazy hair day at school. We were looking for a temporary fun color and this was perfect. It stayed in all day but easily washed out in the bathtub. Win for mom and dad.

Messy, horrible for long curly hair.
I read several reviews that indicated this colored very well over darker hair, I figured it would be pretty great over my light brown hair....it was okay, I didn't want full coverage anyway, but the product applied in a fairly thin stream that made even, moderate coverage difficult. My biggest complaint is how awful it makes your hair feel. I have 2C curly hair and I used this for a cosplay because I thought it would be better than trying to shove all of my hair in a wig and not pull out my curls the way a non-spray temp dye would (I needed to wash it out that night, so temporary was necessary). My hair looked fine before spraying---it looked dry, frizzy, damaged, and gross immediately after spraying. In addition to making my hair generally feel gross, I had to set it with more hairspray, which was recommended to prevent bleeding. This barely helped prevent the dye from getting on other surfaces. I have long hair, I wanted to wear it down, every time I touched my hair to move it, I would get red dye on my hands. Red dye also got on the shirt I wore with my costume. Luckily there was no permanent damage to my hair, but it felt so gross and really impacted my enjoyment of the convention I was attending since I was constantly worrying about getting red dye on everything.Application is also messy. Luckily I have a cement floor that I'm not concerned about keeping pretty because it's easy to clean. This spray comes out of the can super fast in a fairly narrow stream---not like canned hairspray. I will note that the 1 star I allow it is genuine--- I have A LOT of hair. I was able to get light coverage on the top layer of my hair with about 1.5 cans of spray. It is also *kind of* easy to remove. I had to try washing my hands various times during the convention just to remove hair dye. If I used water alone (from my water bottle and a towel) it was a struggle to remove. If I used soap, it came off fairly easy. It did come out of my hair in the shower, but it took a very long time (again, lots of hair). If you must use this product and have curly hair, I recommend deep conditioning after washing it out.

VERY RED, but washes out
This spray scared me two seconds after I put it in my kid’s hair for Halloween. It is such a pigmented red that I just knew it was going to be bad. When we went to wash it out, the red did not budge when she got under the shower water. Thankfully it started coming out with shampoo. We washed her hair three times that night, but it came out just fine. I was so scared, but her hair was perfectly fine. I was shocked the spray was so pigmented but it did not stain. I got a pink spray from a cheaper brand for my other child’s costume and she was jealous of how much brighter the red was. Definitely worth it if you want your red hair to really pop.

It may have been the lighter hair showing up brighter or it might have been something in the salon highlight chemicals preventin
First step is to make sure you wash your hair prior to application. Oily hair makes it so it won't stick. We used the red color for my wife's halloween costume and she has a lot of hair. She also has 6-month old salon highlights. It may have been the lighter hair showing up brighter or it might have been something in the salon highlight chemicals preventing good bonding, but the overall effect was kind of like deep red highlights. We used up two full cans on her shoulder-blade length hair and could have used another can or two to get really bright red hair.Dark mother of Cthulhu is this stuff messy! Everything ended up red. Of course the bathroom where we sprayed it was red. Red footprints all throughout the house, the car seat is still red, by the end of the night her face was red, anyone she hugged was red, her costume was red, her coat was red, even the inside of my shirt somehow was red. I just changed the house furnace filter and guess what else was red? Its insanely messy and, save for spraying it outside 100 feet from your house, you will be cleaning up the after effects of this stuff for months.Visually it looks nice. We got tons of comments on how she should dye her hair red for the winter. But it is not pleasant to touch. Kind of like touching tacky hairspray....only you get infected with red. It also has a not all that pleasant odor.I used the white color of this spray for my hair with similar effects, but the white isn't as noticeable for spreading/mess.I would recommend using a wig instead of this stuff if at all possible. Only use this stuff if there aren't any wigs in the style you need....or maybe if you are allergic to wigs. You've been warned.

Great product to touch up roots or help match a hairpiece
I had ordered a Reecho 12-in ponytail hair extension and I've been trying to let my gray hair grow out but my own hair didn't match the color of the platinum hair piece so I ordered this platinum hairspray and it worked perfectly. I couldn't get over how well it made my own here match with the hair piece I bought. And unlike other root cover up sprays I've tried that leaves your hair so stiff this actually left your hair soft not hard as a rock. So I really recommend this.
