This is my second Dingbat notebook (wolf and deer). I absolutely love the feel and the quality of the paper. And it’s very easy to draw on. Dingbats is now my go-to for my sketchbooks. I’ve used pencil, colored pencils, pens, and acrylic markers in these notebooks and they all hold up very well. Highly recommend these for artists

Love this journal. its very sturdy and the paper is of decent quality. The color is rich and the leather quality is durable. Ive enjoyed writing in it and like the idea of how it will look on my bookcase when im finished.

I am a serial planner-buyer. I have bought many many many different kinds of paper and electronic planners. I have tried cheap planners, flagship planners, free apps, expensive apps, pinterest templates, tablets, phones, laptops...you name it I tried it. I only kept up with each thing for about 2 weeks - the longest being a phone app that I could keep up with for weeks at a time but not consistently.In comes this simple, yet effective notebook. I bought it last year and it was the first thing that I used consistently, day after day, week after week, to take notes and plan my day.APPEARANCEI bought the gray elephant notebook with squared pages. The color scheme is easy on my eyes yet noticeable enough in a room. After nearly filling up the elephant notebook, I thought I'd try something different and go with the orange tiger one, however, it's a little too bright for me and I'm here to get another elephant book. It also subconsiously helps me "remember like an elephant". So if you're picky like me, really think about the color and animal you'll be drawn to.FEELThe cover of the notebook feels amazing. It's textile enough to give positive feedback to the brain, and it stays put on a table. The pages aren't too thick or too thin - they are substantial enough to feel high quality and take your pen or markers with ease without bleeding through, but light enough to flow back and forth easily when you need them to. It's also nice to set your pen or phone on top of because they won't go anywhere.SIZEFor me, the size is perfect. It's not so small that it's easily lost but it's small enough to put in a purse or bag. It fit perfectly on top of the center console in my car, which is when I have most of my "Oh yeah I can't forget that" thoughts, and when I am at a long stoplight or I get to my destination I can write them down so they don't fleet off with the next activity.FUNCTIONALITYAnd here's where the magic comes in. With squared pages, your notes can be as free or as structured as you want. One week you can use it as an agenda and the next week you can use it as a grocery list. I have a bit of everything in my notebook, and I've tried it many ways, and it always works for what I need it to that day. I bought some stick-on tabs just in case I wanted to save a really important page. They fit nicely in the included folder on the back of the book. But I only ended up using them twice. The sky's the limit.WHO THIS IS BEST SUITED FORIf you've got a million things going on, and structured planners don't help, you may need more freedom to get it all out. Don't let the price scare you, this is absolutely worth a shot.

I ordered the A5 size of the softcover journal in the color orange. I love the tiger on the cover and the paw prints on the endpapers!I've used this notebook as my personal journal for 4 months, and it still looks brand new! I was not expecting the vegan leather cover to hold up to everyday use, but I am pleasantly surprised to find that it has. The 100gsm paper is resistant to ink bleeding through, and is a perfect texture for writing on with a variety of different pens. The dot grid is easy to see but not too dark in a way that interferes with writing. I wanted a notebook with an elastic strap and bookmark too, and this item has both!My only complaint is the built-in pocket folder on the inside of the back cover. I find that this pocket is loose so anything you put inside has the risk of slipping out. I use this back pocket for small items that I like to paste into my journal, so it is possible that the small size of these is the reason why they like to escape. I would recommend putting some little velcro dots inside the pocket to hold it closed.I will definitely repurchase in the future if there are more colors/animals made!

I love this book! I write stories, poems, and thoughts, and this is special... I absolutely love how this sweet book is made & put together. It brings me great joy. The cover is well made and the pages are nice. I would give this to someone I love as a gift. I would also like to have every book for myself!
