Hi Friend , The speed of the patterns can not change. May be you can try to use "AUTO or PATTERN (RG) MODE", They change slower than "SOUND MODE ". I hope it worked for you.

Is it possible to make some special patterns stayed and not shinning?

It didn't spin when I used it so yes

Can I leave it outdoors during Christmas? Is it waterproof?

Yes, you can leave it outdoors and the unit has to be plugged in to operate with a USB cable , but it's not waterproof.
