A great book for the turntable enthusiast
A interesting look at the evolution of the turntable from pre phonograph onwards. Most of the expected luminaries are present, Edison, Victor, Columbia, HMV, Decca, Lenco, Garrard, AR, Linn, Rega, Dual, Thorens, SME, B&O, Akai, Revox, VPI, Technics, Sony are all there. I thought Michell deserved more than the brief mention they get though. Also covers exotica like Nakamichi, Micro Seiki, Basis Audio, 47 lab, Acoustic Signature, AMG, Bergmann, Continuum Audio Labs, Clearaudio, TechDas, Simon Yorke and more.Excellent colour pictures throughout. Overall highly recommended.

Kept the husband quiet for weeks
Great book and bought as a gift for my husband who deals in vintage hifi and vinyl. He’s found it very informative and for anyone with an interest in the topic it is worth buying. The book is also of a high quality design and print

Excellent piece of turntablophillia
Love this book lots of great pictures for those of us who love the sight of a hi end or even a not so hi end turntable, and full of historical information. Only one small quibble I would love to see some of the eccentric designs from Nottingham Analog in the book. But in general a work of beauty almost as beautiful as a girodec.
