Google android upgradesys and you will find article after article about the virus preinstalled on this phone. This phone and seller are shady as hell. The virus that comes preloaded on the phone CANNOT be uninstalled, has full permissions, and installs other viruses without your knowledge. You constantly have to sweep for viruses. If you're lucky you'll catch them. If you're not... well, they might take your credit card information, your pictures, your phone number, etc. Who knows what it might do.Is this phone too good to be true? Yes. Don't buy Doogee. Save up for another month and buy a reputable phone from a reputable dealer. This is a scam.

Probably the nicest phone in this price range, nice and snappy, touchscreen nice and responsive, all with more storage than I've had from similar purchases. As other reviewers mentioned, the phone is about half charged to start with, which is nice, because who doesn't want to turn it right on out of the box? There seems to be, under the initial semi-opaque screen cover a factory applied screen protector, and although I ordered one separately, I appreciate that. No network problems either, it accepted a StraightTalk sim with no trouble. Body-wise, it feels nice and durable as well, there's a nice heft to it. I'm very happy with the initial presentation overall, now all that's left is the longevity, but I'm pretty confident on that front.

For a $60 phone, it does all what is needed and much more; saved me in Europe, because in US I have Verizon, and we all know that taking Ver overseas is breaking the bank. I bought a Vodafone SIM and I was good for 3 months, calls, and photos, and data. Highly recommended.

Was debating on giving one or two stars. This phone was ok for the price. It worked with our carrier. However, it died exactly a month (to the date) after we bought it. It started to give us the "black screen of death" and after several resets and it working only about 5 to 10 minutes after each reset it eventually just died and stayed on the black screen. We bought another phone. The only reason why I gave it a two star was because it was just plug in the sim and it was good. There was no hassle making it work with the our carrier. This phone was dropped a couple of times and it didn't crack; however the back is just basic plastic (but never popped off when dropped).

It looks nice but works terribly. I just wanted something simple for traveling in other countries. I had a pretty low bar for the phone to meet my expectations, and the phone isn't close to meeting that bar. (And I'm using only one of the two SIM slots.) It will occasionally work, but unpredictably. Often can't connect to a network (both wifi and phone networks) even when any other device in the room has no problem. You tap just about anything, and most of the time the phone takes forever to respond; you're not sure if it just didn't register what you tapped (that's often the case) or if it is just taking forever to respond (also often the case). It was advertised as "no ads" but pop-up ads are constantly in the way and are often inadvertently selected because an ad has appeared where you've tried to tap something else, but you activate the ad since it's now 5 seconds later and the screen has changed.. I've taken care of all settings and apps that could possibly be the cause of so many ads, so it has to be the phone itself. Repeatedly freezes and restarts, or sometimes you have to restart it to get it to send any messages. I could go on. If you wanted what I wanted, buy a Yezz: I have a Yezz with supposedly inferior speed, memory that does work acceptably and is much better than this Doogee phone.

I bought this phone to replace a flip phone that died suddenly. It was easy for my 11 year old grandson to help me set it up for use. As I do not use a phone for much beyond is original intentions, it is hard to comment on anything except that it came with accessories but no instructions on navigating the various functions. It works.

This phone is an utter piece of garbage which after working more and more tediously with random pop-ups, black screens and reboots over 3 months, basically no longer works as of today. It goes to black screen anytime I tap it for any function, and then reboots. Right now my sons is stranded somewhere and he can't get in touch with me. This is also my work phone. As it turns out, online tech articles warn about the fact that these phones are loaded with malware.DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP.

I bought the phone for my sister when she visited me in August. I wanted her to have a smart phone when she returned overseas so we could talk on Skype/whatsapp. Unfortunately, the home button does not work. She has to turn it off each time she wants to go back to the home screen. Since she's overseas, I can't really return the phone. There are a few great reviews, so I may have received a used/defective phone. Otherwise, the price is good.
