So far so good with the product as far as satisfaction of the quality of the item. To be honest because of blood pressure issues I have I don't intake much salt so I don't get the proper amount of iodide in my system. I'm happy with the product so far because it immediatly brought down the swelling, but to be honest I have been making a lot of lifestyle changes that work in conjunction with adressing the issue so I'm confused at this point whether or not it's the product that is working or healthly choices. As of now I think it's a little of both!! Either way it seems to be a good product to provide the iodide needed to at least address the initial symptoms of a health issue that could have gotten worse without proper attention paid adress the issue. This product works very well. I live in the US, in the Midwest, in part of what is known as the "goiter belt." There is not enough iodine in the soil here, so even those who eat what would be considered a flawless diet do not get the minimum iodine needed. Research in the area of iodine and what it does throughout the body is amazingly new. In the past, if you had enough Vit C that you avoided scurvy, it was thought that you had enough. Many believe that if you have avoided a goiter and/or a child with the severe deformities known as "cretinism," then you have enough iodine. If you are unfamiliar with goiters or cretinism, then a quick look at some online images will fill you in. The truth is that we do need more iodine intake than enough to avoid those problems. There is some iodine added to the table salt that is in the store and labeled "iodized salt," Many of us also add a limited enough amount of salt, or rely on processed foods that do not need additional salt enough, that we are at risk for being deficient in iodine.I can say that this product works, because I took it regularly and my bloodwork topped out - yes, it topped the highest reading possible on iodine! LOL! Well, if there is some sort of nuclear incident, that is exactly what you want to do in order to protect your thyroid- if you haven't heard about that, then read up on it, too. I keep even stronger emergency tablets of iodine in the first aid kit in case that happens and the wind blows this direction.My bloodwork levels showed that this product works well, and that I do not need to take it every day. I am still working on figuring out what the correct dose for me is, and how often I need to take this. Even after I find that out, what works for me could be different than for others, as it will vary depending on where you live and what you eat, and even how much iodized salt you use, so your ideal amount is likely to vary from mine.The very first time that I ordered this, I was home recovering from a surgery. It wasn't going well, at two months out I was still where I had been after only 2 weeks. My Iodoral arrived, I took my first dose, and what was being called CRPS disappeared overnight. It was dramatic. Was that because of this product? I don't know, and there is no way to know for sure. I know that it doesn't hurt to find out how much iodine is in your blood, and whether it is enough to detect, minimal, moderate, or perhaps topping the chart? :) Too much is also not a good thing, and has been associated with nodules on the thyroid, so if you are reading this, then I just suggest that you learn about iodine and make sure that you have it covered.

I wrote the following review on the "5 minute test for mold," but wanted people taking high dose iodine in the form of iodoral to hear my story too, because Iodoral is what I used to recover. It all started in 2014, with an update in 2018 below. This is not medical advice but a true story:(2015) I purchased this kit after finding mold on some of my stored clothing. I dry cleaned the clothing and wore them but developed an increasingly bad cough and severe sinus congestion plus asthmatic attacks when in my apartment. I had no fever. On finding that dry-cleaning does not kill mold (just removes the appearance) I wondered if I had inhaled some of the mold spores from the clothing.So I bought this test, and I tested the walls of the closet in which the moldy clothes had been stored. It showed positive for only the Aspergillus mold.After that I got a blood test for Aspergillus IgG, IgM, and IgE... these showed that I had an active infection of aspergillus mold in my body. I have now been battling the internal aspergillus infection for almost 2 years. I had to move out of my apartment and get rid of most of my belongings. I have taken high dose Lugol's iodine to kill the mold (200-300 mg per day) and it took over 3 months to clear the mold out of my sinuses (so clogged I could not breath through my nose or hear out of one ear) and get rid of the asthma attacks. Additional breathing in of nascent iodine in a nebulizer, taking grapefruit seed extract, and staying off of sugars, high dose vitamin C, etc has helped me cough up many mucus plugs of grayish rubbery plugs until my lungs now feel clear and I can lie down to sleep again at night. If it were not for this test, I might still be wondering what happened and be breathing in (mold-increasing) nebulizers, instead of getting rid of the root problem causing the asthma and severe congestion.UPDATE 2018:After 2 years of high dose iodine, and putting iodine (Lugols) into my nebulizer and neti pot, my blood IgG for Aspergillus had dropped from over 180 to the high 50s. I dropped my daily dose of Iodoral from 300 mg (not mcg) to 200 mg for another year (checking my thyroid from time to time to make sure it was reasonably OK). After my Asperigillus IgG went into the normal range I got another CT scan which showed that the polyps in my lungs were gone. I know that I probably will never be totally mold-free but I thank God that after a year of no high dose iodine (I only take it now if I get a cold or infection of any kind) and taking much more Vitamin C, my blood markers remain in the normal range, my lungs are clear, my sinuses are clear, and my ears are clear. The severity of my aspergillosis was brought home to me when I found that the electrician visiting our house had a wife who died of invasive aspergillosis in her lungs. I am thankful for every clear breath!
