Game changer for swimming with arthritis
I swim against a current in an indoor pool (Endless Pools Fastlane machine) and have been using a normal mask and side snorkel, this was getting annoying because I kept hitting the snorkel with my hand when doing front crawl (not the best of swimmers) and also the current hitting it knocked me off course meaning I was constantly correcting also if I faced straight downwards the current would cause splashback in the snorkel so I'd often be blowing the mouthpiece clear. With my arthritis these problems were giving me a constantly sore neck. This swimmers front snorkel has fixed all those problems. I swim straight without constantly course correcting. I can face directly downwards so I don't stress my neck, and I don't hit the snorkel when swimming. Bonus, it fits even when wearing a dive mask (came with original snorkel) so no need for uncomfortable goggles or nose clip. I admit I was concerned there was no float valve to prevent water coming down the tube if submerged, but as I only surface swim that hasn't been an issue, and in fact I can breathe more easily with apparently more air coming down the tube. The tube is longer than a normal snorkel which is probably why I don't have to hold my head even slightly up. The purge valve looks more sophisticated than on a standard snorkel and I don't know if it just drains by itself or if I've just never had any water come down the tube - either way I haven't had to waste breath blowing it clear. It does seem very expensive for what it is, but it does what I want it to do, and after 6 weeks of swimming 5 or 6 times a week I'm still very pleased with it.

Good snorkel, clips holding head strap are questionable.
This is the 4th swim snorkel that I've purchased over the past few years (generally get 1 year out of them). For context, I swim 4+ days per week for 1.6kms per day. Its the 2nd Finnis snorkel.Positives - Comfortable for long sessions either in the sea or pool (30+ mins). Fit is pretty good and no issues with water blow out when surfacing after turn (which is an issue for other makes/models).Negative - Contrary to product pitch, the snorkel has a habit of rotating if you are too aggressive on a turn, with the pipe pressing up against your face, resulting in you having to stop to adjust, but its something that can be worked around and isn't something that happens if you are keeping a steady routine. Build Quality - It seem's to be worse that my previous one from 2 years ago. The clips holding the head strap in place are quite flimsy , both have come loose and now one has broken off. It might be a one off , but having seen a couple of reviews highlight the same issue .......... !

Pretty good
I like it! Really helps me swim as I have a sore neck and this allows me to keep a steady pace up without having to move my neck too much which would usually happen as I breath. Haven't had any problems with fitting it or using it.

Finis Adult Snorkel for drills and training
I would recommend this item, I am very pleased with it.. The snorkel is as expected and arrived well within the promised timescale. It was also well wrapped in bubble wrap.I need to work on my leg kicks (medical reasons) and bought this as an aid for drills. It took a little getting used to (on a metaphorical suck it and see basis - sorry), but all was fine after a few lengths. I'd not come across this type of purge valve before and it was a bit of a surprise first time out. A bit more detail on this feature, on the packaging or instructions, would be welcome. The instructions provided suggest that a nose clip might be necessary, I found in my case that it was very necessary to avoid non voluntary sinus irrigation.A bit of friendly advice to avoid disappointment. If you are going to use this item for drills and training in the public pool you might find it a good idea to speak with pool management/lifeguards first. My own local pool does not generally allow the use of snorkels etc., during public sessions but are minded to be very reasonable if you discuss it first and have a good reason. At the end of the day, it is your safety they have in mind. It also helps to fit in if you pick the appropriate lane and even better if it is a relatively quiet session.

Game changer if your trying to get back into swimming
This is a game changer! Perfect for those who want to get the lengths in. After not swimming for awhile one of the hardest parts to retrain is the breathing between strokes and this can lead to muscle fatigue due to lack of oxygen. Before this I was doing 50-100m and then struggling to regain my breathing/heart rate and then the increased muscle/cardio fatigue would increasingly effect the rest of my swim. Using this I have completed 2 sessions of 1Km each in roughly 30-40mins. Takes the holding the breath element away allowing you to power through the laps for a good workout. I will be buying a nose clip as without the water does go up your nose and the chlorine does tend to irritate the sinuses. Either routinely breathing out through the nose or a nose clip will prevent this. The rubber pad on the forehead is a bit hard and could have a bit of padding but no discomfort is noticed when swimming. I positioned mine how I wanted it to sit and then marked it above and below with permanent marker so I don't have to set up each time.

Well made and stylish.
Brought these for swimming and used them yesterday for the first time, and they're really good and well made, the type of product that would likely last earn my loyalty, and already has my respect to date.Recommend. AS LONG AS THEY DON'T HIKE THE PRICE EH. UP ABOUT £10. ALREADY. WILL SHOP ELSEWHERE NEXT TIME.

Absolutely fantastic !!!
This is a fantastic product!! I regret not buying this months ago. Finally I can concentrate on my strokes and ignore the problems with breathing and how that interrupts my rhythm.Works great with either a diving mask or goggles and nose clip. (The diving mask is MUCH more comfortable).I've not had any water enter the snorkel and this is swimming against an Endless Pool current machine.Amazingly, you can rotate the snorkel around and still wear it for backstroke.Get one ... if you enjoy swimming, and are finding your breathing interfering with your enjoyment or stamina, this is THE solution.Absolutely brilliant!
